Constant wild pitches

Me and my friend was playing against each other (offline), and he kept throwing wild pitches. Not the kind that skips underneath or over the head of the catcher, but the kind that are either too much to the east or to the west. He swore that he was using the Payoff pitching interface correctly. I was using the same interface and had no problem. Have this ever happened to you?

Your friend might have been using it incorrectly.

If you tap the pitch button once, you will go east and west with your pitches.

I'm sure you know you need to tap the pitch button twice. Once to start the velocity circle, twice for actual velocity.

I think that's the explanation, maybe someone can explain it better.
