What difficulty level and what sliders are u guys using?

I am the Braves, and I had it on Allstar difficulty, no adjustment of any sliders, and I started 18-2. I was hitting WAY too many HR's. I moved it up to legend and I started losing almost every game, but I'm still crushing too many HR's; but the cpu is murdering my pitching, scoring like 2 to 3 runs an inning. I don't mind the losing, but I want it to be more realistic.

One thing that is helping a lot is, when I swing now(classing swing mode) I don't use the left analog, i only press x, even when I probably need to use the analog. I've found this to be so much better hitting, a lot more realistic, I'm hitting ground ball base hits, and I've only hit 1 HR in 3 games. But, and a big but, the CPU is still absolutely murdering my pitching, even when Smotz and Hudson are pitching. Any suggestions? Do u guys play with catcher suggestions on? and if so, do u usually go with what he wants?

If anyone has some sliders that you think might fit my needs, could u post them to me. Thanks in advance. BTW I tried The Show on PS3 and it's awful, I LOVE 2k7.

I just started using DANSF49''s slider set and they are great!

I use Heelfan's sliders with a few adjustments. I was getting way too many simulated errors on my team. So, I had to tune down the infielder and outfielder errors a bit. I was leading the league in errors with a gold glover at more than one of the positions. Not realistic.

I thought the game was getting easy for me. Until I switched up my catcher and called up a guy from AAA. Boy was I in for a rude awakening. I took for granted the "Call Game" rating and my pitcher got rocked! This AAA catcher had no idea how to call a game and all of my pitches were hit hard and long.

Default difficulty levels may make the games more difficult to win, but they won't fix the # of homers and variety of hits. Like others said, see the sliders.

I started off with Heelfans as a guide and have since tweaked them all to my liking. I finally have the game tweaked to where I like it and am getting some very competitive games. I get anywhere from 0 to 4 HR a game, and have had games varying from a 1-0 win, to a 12-10 win, to a 18-4 loss. It's nice to finally play the game not knowing what the outcome will be. For the longest time with this game, I knew I'd win and would either get a shutout or give up less than 2 runs each time.

The idea to me, is to get to a point where you can finally say you're done with sliders and start enjoying the game. I try to find a balance between realism and fun. While this game is far from baseball gaming bliss, it can be quite fun with a few tweaks.
