Player Progression

Hey Guys, in this game player progression doesnt make any sense. When a young player has a good statistical season, he doesnt always progress, sometimes the player may even decrease in rating. So basically my question to you is what do you do when you have a good young player that needs to progress, do you place him in the minors or do you put him on the bench in the majors?

You really cant just put him in the minors and pray he progresses. A good piece of advice is to have a good staff of coaches. Like for example, my hitting coach is really good at progressing players power wise, i just put a 100% on his power skill and i had Matt Holliday improve from a F vs LHP to a C+ even before the end of the season. So i just put the training skill up on my coaches strengths and most of my players progress.
