the reason why trades are so unrealistic is because its based on ratings.

If that's the case then 2K should make a "trade value rating" for each player. They have a trade value attribute in Madden, don't they?

It seems like with a little bit of effort it could be done. Anyone with a trade rating of 95 or higher is untradeable. So young pitching prospects like Homer Bailey and Phil Hughes can have a 94 or something, basically you need to break the bank to get them. Older guys who are rated highly or guys in contract year will have a lower trade rating. Plus if guys have huge contracts their rating will be lower.

In the case of Santana for Holiday and Helton, Santana would probably have a 90 or so, Holiday would have a 92-93 but Helton would have a 70 or so. Two-for-one trades will probably be tricky, but I think it can be made pretty realistic.

I'm actually now using default all star with essentially pro sliders for AI batting. I just finished a series in my new Mariners dynasty. The games were low scoring but very realistic including a Junior Griffey game winning home run. (got him for Raul Ibanez and some scrub CF) I'm using pay off pitching and swing stick for the first time since the game came out, and it's more enjoyable to me than zone and classic. Only problem being I often bunt accidentally instead of executing a power swing.

So do you mean when you push down on your right stick to hit and you are clicking it? If so that's just minor as I use to do that but with a little practice you won't torque on the stick so much.

The new camera angle has made the game 10x better. I just got home from being out of town and wanted to quickly give it a try. I think it's one of those updates that changes the face of the game.

The game just looks better from this angle.

Sounds like an awesome patch/udpate.

I am hoping in a few months I'll be going the Live route...but can't really do it at the moment.

well, in a way, I look at it as "real life" people would... ok, you want my best pitcher... it will take _____ to even talk about a deal... so on that type of front, I don't see it as being unreasonable... Heck, the Mets said I didnt have what it took to pry Beltran away..

Im not noticing any differences in the pole and brodcast camera angles it still does the same behind the hitter view when he hits the ball what did it change?

Fielding, when the ball is in play. It's VERY noticeable.

You have to have Xbox live. And the pitch is his Gyroball.
