Looks like the new patch fixed the wind

I have wind in my franchise now after the Allstar break for the first time. I also notice dirt off the mit and dust from slides again.

Re: Looks like the new patch fixed the wind

I'm in the middle of July w/ the Cubs and I've only had 1 game that was real windy and this is before the patch was downloaded. I hope I get more games w/ the wind after all we do play in the "windy city".
Coming is my style, but I have to go.

I have to use the exhibition trick to, haven't seen the weather change at all, just sunny skies and calm wind.

If you want wind in a franchise game, go to play an Exi game first, pick any teams doesnt matter as you arent going to play it, click through to the screen where you can choose weather and temperature etc, alter the wind setting to breezy or windy, then click B all the way out to the menu, load your franchise and voila, when you play the wind will be there. You will need to do this anytime you fancy a windy game. I do it maybe 50% of the time, in certain ballparks etc.

I first witnessed/realized this on 2K5 for Xbox. Ironically, I was playing my three-game series in Chicago at the time. After firing up the game again not playing there, I was wondering why in the hell they only made it windy in Chicago. :y4:

Is there a list of all the changes 2k made with the patch?

Wow, that's pretty interesting, I wasn't aware. I use Oakland, and have a three game set coming up in San Fran. I'll use this as there's usually alot of wind there.

also, one thing to note...if you have to do an in game save, the wind is still saved for that one game even if you turn off the machine (well, at least on ps3, haven't played the 360 version).
