Why can't I hit the ball?

I started a fantasy draft franchise and ended up with a solid team...

Ryan Howard, Juan Pierre, Kahlil Greene, Alex Gordon, Carlos Quentin, Brian McCann, Eric Byrnes, Chris Young (CF), Hector Luna, Barry Zito, Ben Sheets, Mike Hampton, Kyle Lohse, Carl Pavano and a few others.

I played the first 3 games of the season and won all 3; 2-1, 3-0, 2-1. Then I simulated to July 4th and played the next 2 games and won both; 2-1, 2-1. Thank god I know how to pitch. My last game went 17 innings and was a walk off homer by Ryan Howard.

I am using bulls23's "holy grail of sliders" and just can't get into a groove. I don't know if it's from playing too many other games and The Bigs might be throwing my timing off. What can anyone tell me? I'm at the point I just want to give up.

You can keep trying to tune your sliders. I use my own modified version of Heelfan's sliders. Some things you can try are:


Batter Contact: 40
Pitcher Difficulty: 75

These two sliders helped my offense go from averaging 2 runs a game to about 4.

Thanks, bellz666. I'll give it a shot. I don't normally mess with sliders, but I wanted to give it a shot so I wouldn't completely hammer the opposition like normal. But, now every game is 2-1. I'll post results after I get a few games in.

I hate hammering the opponents also, which is why I tweak the sliders until I get a really challenging game. I'd much rather battle for a playoff spot all season and have a challenge than run away with the division by 20 games in June.

I was 30-24 before the patch, and was loving my sliders. After the patch the offense got really tuned down, and I've now lost 10 out of 11 games and am constantly frustrated.

I hope these two tweaks work for you, as they're kind of new to me also.
