WTF is up with all the HR robbing??

Is anyone else seeing an INSANE amount of HR robbing besides me? When I started my Astros franchise I was literally getting HR's robbed almost every other game. Sometimes 2 and 3 times in one game. It seems like any HR that doesn't clear the wally by 10 feet is always caught. WTF?

Also, of course I have no idea how to rob HR's so it just makes it 25 times worse for me. My outfielders always dive head first into the wall when I use the R stick.

Yeah I would like to help you to rob HR's, but I can't, just in case I play you on line. Also, you should lower the speed of the outfielders, that should stop that.

Robbing homers is actually REALLY easy. Too easy.

Just make sure that you flick the r-stick while the icon is still on screen. You have to press it a lot earlier than what feels natural.

If you wait till the icon goes away (which it probably will by the time you reach the warning track), you'll just do the spine-crunching head ram into the wall (or at least that's what SHOULD happen if a guy really did that).

Hope that helps... it really is very easy once you get it down.

IMO fielding would be a little more intuitive if there weren't an icon telling you when it's possible to rob it or not (same with diving, etc). Granted, when I play the game at kiosks every so often, I turn off the ball trail so that it doesn't pop up, so it's all good. However, I'm not all for pre-loading my dive or jump.

I agree. It's dumb. I hope they get rid of it. and make it more responsive. They've been the same since 2k5 at least, so I'm sure they'll get some attention for 2k8.

I just turn off the icon that tells you when to jump or dive. That way I can't rob every single one. However, I still get my fair share of robs when I guess the appropriate time to hit up.

I agree there are way too many hr's robbed! It just burns me up that some of mine have several feet of clearance over the wall and still get caught. I have never had the icon come up telling me to jump for it. I have watched... maybe there is an on off option somewhere.

I literally just played an inning where all 3 outs were robbed HRs by the computer. Needless to say I was pretty pissed.

There is a very easy answer to this issue. You need to turn down the outfielder's speed to like 25 or 30 in the difficulty settings. You will find hardly any robbed home runs as well as you will start to see more hits landing over and just out of reach of their outfielders. It makes for truely a more life-like game. Trust me you will love it! Later

I've actually seen less of it also. I know that I lowered my fiedling agression, maybe that makes a difference? Also, when I go to rob a HR now, it's not a given that I snatch it back. I played a series in Toronto, and climbed the wall three times in three games and the ball just made it over my fielder's glove all three times. It was nice to not rob it every time.
