3-0 Meatball
So, as it's well known, the pitchers love to throw fastballs right down the middle on a 3-0 count. I know a couple of people have said they don't get it that often, so is there a trick to getting them not to do it? I try to hold off on it unless I'm using a guy who is aggressive in real life, but it's tough to do. I'd love to find a way to draw a 4 pitch walk once in a while.Tags: None -
Re: 3-0 Meatball
yeah, i dont swing either unless:
1.its a hitter who would get the green light in real life
2. i need a sac fly in which case a manager may allow it
but i still get 4 pitch walks every so often in a gameLol, people get enjoyment from their game in different ways. Why they enjoy one thing over another is not really important. --trobinson97 -
Re: 3-0 Meatball
I get the 3-0 center strike about 95% of the time that there's a 3-0 count on my batter. Like you guys I never swing at it unless the player is truly a 3-0 green light guy.Let's Go Yankees!

Re: 3-0 Meatball
The problem I still have is that if in real life the batter would have a 3-0 green light, the pitcher probably wouldn't throw that meat ball. So, since its not realistic either way I just have fun with it and hit it every time. I realize this is also imperfect, but I don't think you can argue that only doing it with green light guys is actually realistic either.Comment

I do the same as you I pretty much follow the rules you would see in a real game situation“Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.”

Re: 3-0 Meatball
I don't swing either, but I can't describe how many times I get the 3-0 count, watch the next pitch go right down the middle, and then proceed to strike out. It seems like I strike out more often after letting a 3-0 meatball go by then in any other situation, which is frustrating.Comment
