Everyone kept talking about corrupt files when saving after the patch download and nothing every happen to me.....kept wondering why it was happening to some and not all, no problems for me. It just happen to me, went to save the game.....damaged files, lost everything. Tried to back out and save it, tried restarting it nada.....everything gone. So p i s s e d right now!!!! Had the perfect sliders set, had my Franchise exactly like the Red Sox....and even had it updated and played my first game w/ Gagne (struck out 2 in the 8th) Then this....48 games into my Franchise. Was getting ready to start loading everything back up......forget it. Ticks me off because I love this game.....was having a blast.....post patch sliders, new rosters, new camera angle.....everything was perfect. Just fed up w/ 2K....not a bigger fan but enough is enough...thank god for these forums because every problem on every game(which a quite a few) someone on these boards has a solution for. Just wished this had not crashed.....just beat the Yankees in an amazing game 5-4 w/ Papplebon striking out Jeter w/ 2 men on base......damn, Hockey season can't come soon enough.

Join the crowd of those who this has happened to. I felt the same way so i didnt play for like a week, but then i just gave it another shot. Glad I did.
Take a break from it and let that feeling rejuvinate.

Hey guys, I'm gonna start up a season once all transactions for the year are done. Can someone explain what this problem is and what causes it so I can prevent it from happening? What seems to be affected?Comment

I did download the stadium. I found out the this happens whenever you mess w/ your rotations. I went in and added Gagne to my roster and I went in and edited some of my players.....this I think is the way you get damaged files. You have to keep your rosters as is....no changes and edits. I want to start another Franchise but I just don't want to go thru all the work for nothing

I dunno because I do a ton of edits during my franchise and receive no error. I had this issue pop up after I promoted/demoted a few guys. Luckily I save the game a ton, and had a file from the previous calander day. I cleared my cache, didn't update the game when prompted, loaded the working file, made changes and then downloaded update.
I had the broken file problems where everything looked broken, but after a restart they all worked.
It would lock up on me if I tried to load a file from after doing edits with the update installed.
Now everytime I want to make an edit or a trade, I clear the cache, make the change and then reinstall the update.Comment
