Weird turn of events, I played the demo of Tennis on the 360 at Circuit City at lunch. I noticed it was much faster then the PS3 version. So I get home and wonder what the demo of MLB2k7 is like on the PS3. I download the demo and it did not install (meaning the progress bar didnt show) but it was available to play. So I try it out and it seems to play faster then the regular game. Wondering if maybe the demo overwrote anything (not sure how the patching works but I assume its got to write to the PS3's HD) I play a game of MLB2k7 - the real game not the demo. To me, the game seemed to play much faster after I d'loaded and mysteriously installed the demo. The pitching was tighter, the player animations seemed smoother, everything seemed better.
Somethings I noticed
I booted a ball in the OF and picked it up on my own - usually another player picks it up for me
I was able to relay in a ball and have a play at the plate where my catcher got knocked over
the 2k when you push the button was much faster
John & Joes remarks were on the play instead of being behind it
I caught a foul ball along the 3rd baseline and it was a different camera view
The beginning sequence and the 7th inning stretch moved at a normal pace and not super slo-mo
There was someone taking pictures in the OF bleachers and the graphic was a flash then a black box (messed up but I never seen that before)
Pitches at me knees were sometimes called balls
Fouls were more frequent (not much more) but there were a few more
I never noticed there being cameramen with cameras when they showed the bullpen
My bullpen pitchers kept moving their hands while sitting in the bullpen (when a play was in the vicinity and I could see them)
I dont know if maybe a patch was released and my son installed it, I dont think so however.
I am on game 34 of a 40 game season and have never seen these things and know for sure the game has never been this smooth/fast. So thats what I experienced if someone else wants to try and see if they get the same results.
