Official roster update question

Can anyone offer any opinions on whether the latest 2K roster update is actually very accurate or not? Has anyone actually taken the time to go through all the teams to see what kind of shape it's in?

It seems pretty good to me. All of the trades that I remember are done, plus it seems like the added several players to most of the teams, though they still haven't added anyone new to the Rangers....

The latest one I got online last night didn't have Dotel, Gagne, Teixiera, etc on the right teams, so I am guessing there is no post trade deadline official roster up yet.


Second to this is when I moved Gagne over to the Red Sox I could not get him into the rotation from the roster - edit rotation screen, but when I go to play a game Gagne is in the rotation.

Is there some sort of trick to this?

He's probabally hidden behind another pitcher in the rotation screen. This happens a lot. Try moving pitchers to different positions in the pitching rotation such as MR, LRP, CL, and SU. Also try moving some of the SP as he could be hidden under one of them as well. Then just move the pitchers back to the correct spots.

Is this for 360? There is one that says 8-2-2007 that has all of those guys on the right teams.

Ok I feel foolish. Where is the 8-2 roster?

I jumped on xbox live through the game and it said Loading Online Roster so I was assuming that was the latest one.

Is there another way to get it? Barring that, is there a way to check what the date is on the Official roster file?

I got it, not sure what file it was loading in the loading online roster part but once you go to the online desk there is the 8-2 file under downloadable content.

Just going through the 8-2 roster I see things that need to be fixed and I would bet he already has it all taken care of.

The game knows that they are boyh closers, they obviously did not code the logic to "bump" one of the closers to another pitching slot. If you don't do this, the other pitcher will take up a roster slot and never get used for the team.
