    Re: pitching

Might of been in their hot zones. Could have been a team that is on a hot streak. It has happened to me a few times as well. Also might want to change speeds and curves.

You can also check your sliders. Look into the pitching difficulty, AI Skill and so forth.

        Re: pitching

Try to expand the strike zone in every way. What you may think is the corner really catches more of the plate than you may think. Take the first inning or so to test out each umps' strike zone. Some umpires will give a little more off the plate, some will give just below the knees, etc. Keeping pitches just off the plate should lead to some success.

Don't just keep pounding the strike zone. Set up your "out" pitches with pitches off the plate. Throw some offspeed curves way outside before busting them on the inside corner, etc. Also vary the amount of power you put on your pitches. Don't be afraid to take a little off that fastball now and then.

Another thing I keep in mind is to throw pitches that move both ways across the plate. In a righty vs. righty matchup, everyone throws sliders off the outside edge. But don't be afraid to throw backup sliders or cutters just off the plate inside. Likewise, throw some 2 seam fastballs that just miss coming back off the outside edge too. You can keep the CPU batters off balance this way. I get a lot of strikeouts with cutters well off the inside corner.

Oh, and after that many homers, give them a little chin music. haha
