At what times would you want to use the power swing or the contact swing. If you only use power with your homerun hitters wont HR stats be way lopsided. Or wouldnt guys with good contact swings have good averages and realy low HR totals and vice versa.

        Russ,

The problem with the HOF guys is unless they are part of the Cooperstown Collection licensing agreement, the game manufacturers have to get their individual permission (or from their estates if deceased). This becomes a daunting task to go out and get permission for all the retired or HOF guys, since they are no longer part of the MLBPA union.

It is why you see some very famous names left out of all games....it all comes down to licensing agreements...not laziness on the part of the game manufacturers.

Not sure why guys who were in last year may be out this year...unless they withdrew their permission to use their name and likeness.

Then how come Ruth and Gehrig are on the ASB legends team?

Question is their a sports ticker in the game? You know like the other segasports titles and if so dose it just say the scores or give some stats to? Also to the people complaining about the 100 ratings you can always edit them and lower the player rating I think!

Re: FatPitcher, a couple of WSB questions

Because their estates and relatives have given permission for them to be included in either the Cooperstown Collection or they have granted individual rights.

Games cannot use any past player's image or likeness, or name, withour express permisiion from the player or decendents of the player, unless they are part of the previously mentioned Cooperstown Collection group.

Are you intimating that ASB somehow just stuck them in there without permission? I don't think so.

I really don't know which players are officlally part of the Cooperstown Collection and which aren't, so the only rationale I can offer is that if players are in one game and not another, they have given explicit permission to the manufacturer of that game to use their likeness (for a fee of course!).

                    Maybe Fatpitcher can clarify...

Boudreau was a better hitter than Rizzuto, was a player manager for the Indians at age 24, and led them to a World Series title in 1948 and also was the inventor of (Ted) Williams Shift, which basically was a precursor to all defensive shifts used today.

Fatpitcher--In the SegaSports.com video, I believe I saw the blue 20's White Sox uniforms with no names or numbers. Will all throwbacks have the same attention detail in this regard.

What the ratings of Joel Pineiro,Jamie Moyer, and Freddy Garcia?

you said soriano is in majors you mean he is on M's 25 man roster in the game?
