I wish Brinkman had a developer blog/diary...
Maybe it's better he's spending all this time working on making 2K8 great, but I feel like it would be awesome to know what Kush was up to.

I think he had one last year, but I remember it being after Christmas. I don't remember who housed it, but I know I read something LOL. We won't hear too much until December/January anyway. I'm sure he will have something.Formerly Favre4vrComment

I'm VERY picky about console games and I'd have to agree with you. Alongside NHL 07, MLB 2k7 has been quite a surprise game in my library. Ever since the update (patch), I've been playing at least a game a day.Comment

Yeah right. I've sent him like 2 or 3 PM's in the past yr over various things & never get a response. He's not very active on OS anymore from what I've seen. I'm sure he still visits from time to time but he doesn't post in the forums at all.Comment

Well you never know you might eventually get a response. The two developers that frequent the "MLB The Show" boards are much more responsive though.Comment

Re: I wish Brinkman had a developer blog/diary...
Yeah, it'd be cool if he (or anyone from the dev team) just took 15-30 minutes every week or so just to give a quick update of what they've accomplished and what they've got planned up ahead.
I really think something like that would keep people constantly thinking about the game, even while they are playing other games in the mean time. It would help build a following and some hype for the game and help build a strong anticipation for the game. It seems the earlier you start, the more time there is to build aniticipation, and as long as things don't get stale, it could really help sell the title.
With the lack of actual advertising 2K does for their sports games, these types of little things (diaries, q&A sessions, etc.) would help give them some type of free press and would probably satisfy the masses more than the generic trailers do.Last edited by Trevytrev11; 09-12-2007, 08:43 AM.Comment

You outlined it perfectly. Even hiring one person to do it as his job would be good. The additional sales he creates would be worth one salary.Comment
