franchice year 2024...everyone has same batting stance

hey guys, i thought it would be fun to sim ahead for a long time and play a season with all created players. It has been fun in a lot of different ways, but here are a few of my biggest frustrations.

    1. money. it doesnt seem to matter what i do...my team is always losing money now. i've made the playoffs 3 years in a row and my ticket prices are at $38 and fan buzz is at its highest, but i'm always in the hole and i'm consistently not able to resign players or go after free agents because of that.

    2. stances. so i decided to play one game and see what it was like...and (i'm the braves) all the created guys had blue gloves and everyone had the "standard" pitchers batting stance. how annoying! i dont mind changing all the stances on my team...but everyones?! thats ridiculous.

    3. age. i'm not sure if its a progression issue, draft issue, minor league issue or what...but there is rarely a guy in his 20's who is rated above 80. The average age on each ball club is probably in the high 30's. Every trade i get offered has a 42 year old in it. there are WAY too many 40+ year old players.

just a few things i noticed. it's still a good baseball game...i look forward to see what next year brings...but these things are pretty frustrating...but they're also not the most important part of a game.

oh...1 more thing. apparently at some point they move to alluminum bats because team batting averages hover around .330. i finished more than 1 season with none of my starters batting below .310. Also, rarely will you see a pitcher with an ERA of below 4 because of this.

In "fairness," I get the idea 2K Sports was not really anticipating people playing more than 5 to 10 seasons, or at least they believe it not worth the effort to worry much about 15 years down the road in a franchise until they got the on the field and front end stuff worked out. Certainly, this is not a High Heat or MVP Baseball yet, with the idea of simulating 20-40 years as part of the design process. And even High Heat could start to get weird results 20-30+ years in.

Here here. You hit the nail on the head.

The devs must just roll their eyes when they read posts like this.
        Sports games really get shafted.

        1) They have to be released every year without slipping up on ship dates due to license agreements and competition. (12 months for pre-production, production, testing, and finaling a game is tight!)
        2) They have to maintain every feature that the previous versions of the games supported (or else face the wrath of some fan/reviewer who liked that feature)
        3) They have to add new features (or else be called "stale", "uninovative", or "just a roster update", even with innovative new features they have that reputation)
        4) They (at least 2K games) support the most customizable feature set (very few other games let you tweak sliders like that) without letting obscure sliders cause tons of glitches.
        5) Their customer base is so diverse. Everyone is looking for a different experience in their sports sim. Operation Sports represents one tiny (but vocal) minority of the players and we can't even agree.
        6) A code base that has persisted for years and comes with all the hacks and junk previous releases included to get the game out the door.

All of these things together cause a monstrosity of a game that has such breadth and depth that it isn't even in the same camp as most of the other AAA game titles (except maybe WoW or something).

i have a way to fix this

trade for the older players and change there age because in most cases they will be 30years old with 1year experinence

i love the fix that i can trade and edit the other players and pretty much control the other teams makes things alot better 10mins before you start each season is all it takes
