Is MLB 2K8 GOING TO BE 60 FPS?

I am hoping 2K8 will be 60 fps, this will make it much more smoother and playable.

I hope so as well. And I mean full on 60 FPS. Not one time of slowdown. Combine that with no jaggies, this game would sell to me no matter how broken the gameplay is haha. I would just be awestruck by the beautiful graphics.

I'll take tone downed graphics for 60fps. 2K7 was way too herky jerky.

          Correct, I don't own a 360.

And also correct... nothing in this game had jaggies except players. I've played it many-a-times as well, though I don't own it. But there's no doubt that players themselves had jaggies. Stadiums were beautifully rendered however.

Didn't you make a 100 page thread where no one saw jaggies in this game but you?

I've never seen jaggies in this game either.

              Hmm, don't recall.

But I seem to see a lot of things that people don't see. I don't suppose you guys see the instant lighting change on the player models from that evening to night transition in just one batter change, do you?

Actually, the infield lines that separated dirt and grass showed some jaggies. At least at PNC Park and a few other parks.

It wasn't terrible, but it was certainly there.

                  I see that.

But biggest thing with this game was the framerate. 2nd year on the 360 and the framerate was pretty bad.

No doubt; this is my biggest gripe as well. As a matter of fact, a poor framerate was something that a lot of people didn't see, either. One good example to see what 60 vs 30 is like in this game is hit a foul ball with that cut-scene from the ground. When the ball is hit up to the sky, you can see 60 FPS. Once it starts falling back down to the stadium, it gets very choppy again into 30 FPS. Very ugly.

Can't wait to see this game in action if it really does become 30 FPS.

                      I agree

It just got very difficult to hit in certain stadiums because the game would stutter like a madman.

It is a big difference. If not to you, then this further proves my eyes are just... different. Neither better nor worse, but I can very easily catch a difference between 30 FPS and 60 FPS, jaggies or no jaggies, 720p or 1080i. And when I see it one way and see what it can be another way, it actually annoys me... a lot. Visual mishaps really 'grind my gears', so to speak. This just happens to be one of them.

I think that you're not actually aware of what 60 FPS will do for this game until you see it for yourself. That is, assuming they actually choose to do it.

Though I agree... sometimes you don't want to sacrifice some things to become victorious in other things. This, however, needs to be done.

I still have the game and playing on an hdtv i dont see any jaggies on the players at all. Maybe on a regular tube tv...

I played on an HDTV. I gotta be honest... the jaggies are tougher to see on a regular TV.

                              P.S. I played the PS3 version.
