    There used to be a ballpark...

    And the people ate rock candy
    on a great big 4th of July

    Now, the children try to find it,
    and they cant believe their eyes
    for the old team isn't playing,

    I only hope and wish that we can use these parks, along with 2K's legends in Franchise and Season...

                  Actually saw Sinatra sing that at the now defunct Westchester Premier Theatre in Tarrytown, NY waaaaaayy back in 1975...I was 19 at the time...

                      I can't wait to hear what Old Time parks are included in 2K8...
                      I hope Ebbets and The Polo Grounds are in the game and again
                      we've got to be able to enjoy them in Franchise & Season modes...

                          If old ballparks are in there and can be used in franchise i'd hope Ebbets is there. I'd play a Jays franchise at that ballpark!

                              Nobody has done classic ballparks as good as ASB did.
                              There was just something about the colors they used along with the vintage advertisements that really added a sense of authenticity to it.

                              The retro stadiums in the 2K series have been good, but for me, didn't quite reach that "feel" that ASB did. I also seem to recall MVP having some classic retros, but to me they just felt like a different hazy wall paper in the background.

                              But yes, I am looking forward to this. Hopefully they will let us use them in legacy. 2K is notorious for providing great features, but not allowing to be fully utilized (ie: having 8 alternate/retros for each team, but not allowing us to change the CPU's uni.) I hate to bring up ASB again, but they did allow retro/fantasy parks in dynasty mode. I had a 3 game set at Shea, and in my magical world, the Polo Grounds were still open, so we played 1 game there. When my team went to Houston, we played one in the Astro dome. I think I may have even played a game in one of the "future" stadiums.

                                  MVP '05 on the PC is the be-all/end-all when it comes to classics. I still play my '61 season with the Yanks from time to time. It may take me three years to finish it, but I'm going to play all 162 games.

                                      Agreed. THE game to have and play if you love classic teams, seasons, uniforms, and ballparks. Some of them are just stunning...with authentic ads actually used in the old stadiums.
