I asked a respectful question. Wouldn't it be better if he just said "folks, there's nothing I can talk about right now"? That would stop the "pressing". Nothing wrong with asking a respectfully put question.

I think some of the guys need to back off kg a bit. He goes out of his way to post here and gives us a connection to the makers of the game that we, otherwise, wouldn't have.

Yankeepride was right, the people that want to control all teams represent a small number of the people that would buy the game, thus I can't imagine it being a priority for them especially if it means getting pushed up against deadline or flowing any more money into development.

What I took from kg's answer was that it's something they're working on. It will be included if it's 100% ready and only then.

bottom line is it's the middle of January. If you can't be happy playing COD 4, Halo 3, Orange Box, Assassin's Creed, Mass Effect, Rock Band, Guitar Hero, NBA 2k8, College Hoops 2k8, etc., then you need to find another hobby.

I'm not trying to flame anybody here and my response wasn't directed towards anybody in particular. just maybe we should leave the guys at 2k alone and let them do their work. After improvement from 2k6 to 2k7, I can't imagine 2k8 being a bad game.

One reason why we don't release information early is that some things get cut right at the end of the project. Letting the user control all 32 teams in franchise is risky - enormous potential for bugs. So, if we were doing something like this, we wouldn't talk about it until it was guaranteed to be in the game. And something like this would not be a guarantee until the game has been approved and sent to the manufacturer.

Um someone over on the actual 2k forums pointed this out to me... there are ONLY 30 teams not 32... so is this guy a fraud or not... yet to be determind

Yes, i realized I wrote 32 right after I posted it. It's funny, cause we were laughing at the other thread which was titled something like "Most important thing is to control all 32 teams". I remember it went about 10 pages without anyone mentioning there are only 30. OOPS

I asked a legit question. Nobody is on his back, or pestering him. A simple, "we're trying like hell to get this in the game, or no, we can't pull this off at this time", would be nice.

The SCEA crew tells us straight up, "no, can't get it in, perhaps next year", "or no, we tried it , but coding it messes up other things, so we dropped it", and everyone appreciates that. Could you at least tell us that you are trying to implement some type of roster control? It wouldn't have to be control and play all teams during a season, but the ability to at least control roster moves for each team during the season like The Show.

Just save a lot of, what some people call whining, if he'd say he can't talk. People could work with that.

Look, not trying to cause problems, not trying to beat a dead horse, but there are people who are going to move away from this baseball game if they can't control all team roster moves (not control all teams to play as them during a season). I'd think they'd be concerned, perhaps not.

He's here posting and it is a legit question. No he doesn't have to answer it.

Simple question here> Can we control roster moves and lineups for CPU teams? ALOT of people want to know this. Surely someone reading these boards have an answer. I give the dev for The Show credit they at least go on these boards & answer questions. Even if they dont make everybody happy, they at least respond.

I think we shouldnt even have to worry about lineups. Roster moves maybe but the lineup situation was a joke. I overlooked this issue last year and went on to enjoy the game but in my mind i dont think we should even have to worry about the CPU's lineup.

I also want to know if I have to buy a ps3 and the show if mlb 2k8 doesnt have a season mode control all teams or at least roster control.

he said that its in the current build of the game, but it might not be when the game is released so don't bag on him for lying. its not in 100% atm.
