Time of Day bug Fixed for 08'?

Since everyone has their questions about game play, and very relevant ones at that... Something that BUGGED me about 2K7 was the Time of Day Bug.

I LOVED seeing the plays of the inning in between, and the previous plays of a guy coming up to bat, but if you were playing in twilight, and the play happened when it was still sunny, the bug would turn the actual time back to the daylight and forget the twilight. Kind of killed immersion, so unfortunately I had to turn off the replays in between innings, and before the guy came up to bat.

Which kind of sucked, since I thought it was a marvelous feature. Does anyone know if it will be fixed for 2K8? Kush? Please?!

Yeah, I hated having to turn off the replays but I had to do it to fix this stupid bug. I hope it's fixed, and fine tuned.

Even with the replays off, it would take too long to progress into night. It wouldn't get dark until the 6th or 7th inning. I go to about 30 games a year, and watch most of the rest on TV. In 7:00 PM games, it's dark by the 3rd or 4th.

Another thing I hated was that playoff games didn't start at night. By October, it's dark by 7:00PM, and most playoff games start at 8PM anyway. So they need to start the games at night. In 2K7, it seemed all playoff games started at 5 or 6 PM. It never really got dark until the 8th or 9th inning.

Agreed this was TERRIBLE it ruined my experience a fair bit i love replays but I couldnt have them, my two favourite teams were directly affected by this In cleveland the sun wouldnt go down util mid 8th and it was still light out then in Toronto, between the 3rd and 6th it was pitch black it felt like cuz the dome blocked the sun and the lights werent on yet I hope they FIXED THIS GARBAGE! I love in game replays its a big plus in the fun department

Hey, I get just as upset when I spend $70 on a new game and it's garbage. But the difference is I'm only upset with myself for not renting the stupid thing first

I believe they fixed this in the patch that was released.....not 100% sure but i think so....

I thought the patch that was released fixed this for 2k7. Atleast it did for me.

It did? *** **** it! Why wasn't I told this? So I had replay off all these months for nothing?!

Either way, the patch didn't fix the playoff games starting in sunlight.

Yeah, i dont think it did..At this point you are better off waiting for 2k8. They most likely fixed this issue since they were aware of it last year and released the patch.

Yes the patch fixed it. I downloaded the patch the day it came out and I played with replays/etc all on after that with no problems.

OMG .. I wish I knew ... I robbed myself of gaming goodness with this.

Anyhow, THANKS A BUNCH ... turning it back on, getting some games in before 2K8 comes out!

Yeah for some reason the game is great after not playing it for a while. Cant wait for 2k8..about 46 more days!!! Hopefully sooner like last year

The patch sort of fixed the lighting issue. The initial problem with the player highlights was that if your player hit a HR in the 1st inning and it was "dusk" lighting, if they replayed that HR in, say, the 4th inning, when the lights were now on and the sky was dark, the replay would be in "dusk" lighting and then the game would get stuck in that lighting again after the replay (the lights would be off again and the sky was dusk).

After the patch, when the replay from the 1st inning happens, instead of the lighting being dusk, which was the lighting at the time of the HR, it uses whatever lighting the game is currently in. So, it will show the 1st inning HR with the lights on and sky dark, even though that wasn't the case. So, it kind of fixed it. It's probably the easiest way they could have fixed it with a patch, so I didn't mind.
