I post in every thread like this to add fuel to the fire. In hopes that someone out there is listening.

I'm a Yankees fan. Stop calling me uptight!

LOL im new to this Forum and seeing the love for Video games at 32, 36 or 41 just makes me feel a little more secure in the sense that im usually the oldest one on most forums, im 24 but theres no way im giving up gaming especially baseball its a hardcore addiction. This is our Rehab Center hahahaha best games of all time for me were Ken Griffey for Snes, Bases Loaded 2 for Snes, all star baseball 99 triple play 2001 MVP 04.05 MLB 2k5 and MLB 06 The show talk about issues eh?

Baseball stars was college for me and was awesome, but RBI for NES was awesome, full MLB etc. That's 20 freaking years ago, oh man that makes me feel old.

those games are so much fun, I am having so much fun playing all the old baseball games. My girlfriend uploaded all these on my computer last week, its a blast from the past man. Its amazing how far we have come in video games, but these old classics are still so much fun to play.

We are going to have to wait until IGN or GameSpot gets a preview build of the game, hopefully they get it soon!!

As for video's of The Show, I love the cutscenes/presentation of that game. I hope 2K8 just flat-out copies them. In one of the Cardinals vs. Cubs vids, when Pujols K's, he has some words for the ump as he walks back to the dugout, accidentally drops his bat, picks it up, then continues to the dugout. Then they cut to Zambrano walking off the mound, he removes his cap and wipes the sweat off his head, and puts his cap back on. That's just awesome stuff that's been in The Show for 3 years already. 2K needs to add "little things" like this that make The Show that much more awesome and immersive.

                  But to be fair Rob...
2K8 has some pretty cool presentation itself.
The whole opening of the game...TREMENDOUS.
                  The lineup card(small thing...but to me...that is HUGE....AWESOME touch.)
I'm sure 2K has a few new and beautiful tricks up it's sleeve for this year.
I think we're going to be pleased!

IGN and Gamespot should actually be getting the final build/near final build to this game by now. The game is roughly 6 weeks away. They are basically done with the game....

Yeah, the opening of the game is awesome. I also like how they show us the defense after the 1st out, then the umps after the 2nd out. Good stuff. They just need to expand on it, big time.

For example, in a big spot I've seen them cut to my pitcher as he takes a deep breath before the next batter comes to the plate. Problem is, I've only seen this 2 times, and I've been playing this game for months! The SS and 2B chatting between outs, I've only seen this 4 or 5 times.

They just need a lot more of these "little things." One thing they have to put in is the player crossing the plate after hitting a HR, and celebrating with the guys that were on base. That was in the MLB series since 2005! Hell it was in Bases Loaded on NES. In 2K7, you hit the HR, they show the player rounding 1B or 3B, and that's it. When have you ever watched a game on TV where they didn't show the player crossing the plate and celebrating with high-5's ect? The Show does a great job of this, they even sometimes show them going into the dugout and high-5ing everybody there.

Wow!!!! I just watched videos of The Show and I was impressed. I'm a 2K guy through and through but I was desperate for some videogame baseball videos so I took a look. I'm a sucker for pitcher animations and watching Josh Beckett's delivery brought a smile to my face. His delivery last year in 2K7 was way "off", not even close actually.

Make me proud 2K!!! I don't want to buy a PS3 just so I can see spot on pitcher delivery's. I'm becoming more an more restless for video info every day. I'm a freaking junkie. I've been on this site all day.

I must be nuts to even consider The Show. MLB 2K's my true love. Help!!! I'm starting to lose it. The anticipation is killing me.

This is 2K we are talking about. The fact that they haven't even sent these websites a preview build is a joke.

Thats not Beckett's throwing motion...He pats his glove once before letting loose, I didn't see that in the MLB '08 video.

Josh Beckett was filthy last year, probably the best pitcher in baseball. I'm pretty sure they will get his pitching motion in this year. Brinkman has already stated that it will be hard for us to find a starting pitcher in the game who doesn't have a sig motion. So that's great news.
