I have been a a MLB The Show fan for a few years now, but after I saw the videos this morning of the upcoming 08 series I have to say I am not impressed by the graphics.They look the same as last years, I own a PS3 so I have the option of both games.At this point I am leaning towards 2K8. I havent seen a video yet, but from what I am hearing the options fit for what i am looking for. The Show has roster control..But you can play only 2 teams in Season mode.***mor has it 2K8 may have all teams..That is huge for me!! I dont play online and never will.I personally think the graphics in 2K8 look like cartoons, but the if they have all these options that wont bother me.For me its about realism and real rosters, standings etc..So I am hoping all these rumors about 2K8 are true..As much as I like The Show I have to say I was looking for better graphics and ALOt more options and I just dont see that.

I really think MLB 2K8 is the way to go this year....last year was all about the graphics, but this year they worked on nothing but gameplay, and it will show! I played MLB 07 the show last year, I liked the gameplay but just could not get past the graphics and how much better 2K is..... I sold my ps3 and switched back to MLB 2K.... -

i thought the show 08 looked pretty great. the crowd reaching for foul balls,1st base coaches wearing helmets,umpire calling for more balls,ect.Comment

Look.......It's not really flute I'm bashing here...it's all the guys with these same posts....."convince me to buy...." or "I'm switching because" or "game A looks better than, has more of, gives you whatever over game B"
It's really the comparison threads that get to me.
BOTH here and in The Show's forum.
Buy your game....sing it's praises to Kingdom come....and leave it(and the other game
) out of it whether it be this one or the other one.
Threads like these are just pointless IMO.

Ill be getting both, 08 looks alot better graphics wise than it did last year, however ill agree it hasnt changed much other than that, but thats not neccessarly a bad thing, 2k8 will be more interesting though as its supposed to be very new with the new controls and what not im more excited for it for that reason. MLB the show career mode though is looking alot better,Comment

Well, if 2k folds (and I would dread any of the only two choices we have going bottoms up), then you're out of a baseball game. Have fun then.
