    Strike Zone

Does anyone know if they have made the strike zone more realistic? I hate seeing letter high pitches called strikes.

I'm sure they did, because it was fixed in the patch.

I don't recall a smaller, more realistic strike zone after the patch. I could be wrong though. I just don't remember the patch altering the zone.

This definitely wasn't addressed in the patch.

          Re: Strike Zone

I do not really think they can change this. I think they are bound to the written MLB rules of how a strike zone is measured. Unfortunately, the umpires in MLB have their own interpretation of where the strike zone is. The Show suffers from the same size strike zones too. I think the only real fix is having variable umps but that does not help with any player who has the straight up stance. The zone is gigantic.

Woah, I could've sworn that the zone was smaller after the patch.

              Re: Strike Zone

Smaller doesn't necessarily mean addressed, though. The strike zone still isn't even close to a representation of today's strike zone (no, not from the rulebook).

I wish MLB would fix these umpires and have it called to the rules. Tired of seeing some pitchers get the calls, and others dont! That is more so annoying, than a game that is accurate to the true MLB rules.

Exactly. Problem isn't the strikezone - it's the umps. And the fact is the strikezone in 2K is correct. So people on this thread should really be complaining about how MLB is not a realistic representation of 2K baseball

                    Re: Strike Zone

I hope its fixes, I remember having Richie Sexson in a drafting league and his strike zone was about 4 ft tall. He would hit just about anything around it though

                      Re: Strike Zone

I think they should at least give us an option to shrink the zone. I think MVP had one of the best strike zones in a game. In one of the college games they gave you an option to change the strike zone. It would be nice to have that option here.
