    Heres why I believe 2K is waiting. (gather conspiracies) :)

    Heres why I think 2k's waiting:

    I believe when we see a video we will be a little bit down on it cuz it wont look that great, why not? cuz main focus of the game was gameplay, so the game wont look too appealing right away. itll still be satisfactory but it wont be 2k7 looking, and they dont want to take the risk of releasing Vids that will get ripped apart in forums like this one.
    BUT if they wait just before or better yet after a demo u get to PLAY the game and people will be excited because im sure it plays well but from a graphics point of view just in a video its a bit of a downgrade and just seeing a video coul lead some people right away to not buy the game. Just a thought... its the ONLY thing that makes sense right now...

    what do u guys think would really be the reason

      That's a good reason, and I could see this being the case. A slurry of videos coming out after that demo is released next month. Yea...I can dig that.

          They never changed anything graphically, some new animations, but the focus was just that, gameplay. Why would it look like crap? It probably looks just like last year except plays like baseball...

              Either that or they have a specific marketing schedule and budget and are sticking to it, despite some grumblings by a few impatient people on a website demanding it ASAP.

                  I hope the reason for the delay is that they are waiting for the show to release all these videos and screenshots, get people excited, then blow them away with what they have done with 2k8.

                  That is some major hoping, but hey you never know...

                      You're saying 2K hasn't released any vids because they're afraid of what people on message boards will say?

                          People its just marketing....like someone mentioned they have layout of what they marketing schedule was gonna be and they're not changing it because The Show is showing everyone every inch of their game....sure they didnt expect that but it doesnt constitute them changin their plan.....they're sticking to their February media release (im guessing the month btw)....and thats it....has nuttin to do with the game looks like crap or what not....it prolli looks the same they're just sticking to their guns....

                              And last year's animations looked bad. And compared to how smooth The Show looks this year, those bad animations will look even worse.

                                  I think they're not showing videos just to piss you all off.

                                  I continually am amused at how many threads are devoted to demanding videos from this game.

                                      The internet has a lot to do with helping gamers decide if they're going to buy a game or not. There are at least three games I was interested in this spring, and after seeing videos of them on sites like gametrailers, I've decided I won't be buying any of them.

                                          Um, obviously you didn't read my entire short post. I said they did animations, you can even find it in the interviews, ala the catches against the wall and diving catches...

                                          I would have to agree with the posters that said it's a marketing schedule thing...

                                              Well if it's the next gen equivalent to the High Heat series then I won't complain.

                                              I'd rather wait til they do some real in depth videos on franchise mode and the real under the hood type stuff. It'd be nice to see a game be marketed to the diehards and it'd be viewed as something for those who want a true baseball experience on and off the field.

                                                          I think the orginal posters idea is completly wrong.
                                                          2K7 have great graphics, the game looked amazing and they have said that they worked on anamations.
                                                          The Shows graphics will not blow away 2k's graphics they never have and they never will.
