My top 10 (not in order of importance):
1. Graphics/framerate on par w/ 360 version.
Last year, the PS3 version looked terrible compared to 360. TERRIBLE!
2. Ability to control all teams.
Not just so I can make lineups "current" or "realistic" but so that I can visit other ballparks throughout the season and see other teams play.
3. An in-game save feature
4. Custom soundtracks (in-game!)
I know this is a stretch but we had it in 2k5...why not 3 years later? Who doesn't want to customize their batter walk-up music.
5. Camera angles that make the game fun to play
I've always said that this series (even since 2k5) has great amount of "Fun Potential." Improved fielding camera and batting camera would greatly increase the fun factor. I know they patched the fielding camera last year, and I give them kudos for doing so. But on throws across the diamond the camera framerate was choppy and distracting.
6. Sliders that work well.
Not that the sliders didn't work well last year, but give me a ton of sliders please. Being able to decrease outfielder throwing strength should result in varied gameplay and increased number of animations for fielders receiving "bad/offline" throws.
7. Errors.
Since Brinkman worked on MVP, I hope he got a chance to incorporate one of the things that make the game so fun - errors and varied error animations. I know former MVP fans already know what I am talking about.
8. Improved sound and atmosphere
Pleaaaaaseee improve this 2k! Brink said he'd improve the presentation in the IGN Postmordem interview...we shall see. I do miss the MVP cutscene of players warming up in the bullpen. Maybe he brought that into 2k8.
9. MVP-like Owner mode.
It doesn't have to be a carbon copy of MVP 05, but wouldn't it be cool to be able to create a stadium in your franchise?
10. In-game sports ticker for games IN YOUR VIRTUAL SEASON, not (just) real life.
Already, this game has me excited for classic teams (hopefully players likeness is at-least 80% accurate for classic players) and stadiums, improved gameplay, the whole "trading card" idea (which doesn't seem gimmicy to me, especially since Baseball Trading Cards was such a big part of so many people's MLB experience in their youth), the "new mode" (which has me intrigued), improved fielding (detailed in the IGN postmordem interview), varied uniforms (including old school unis), improved baserunning, improved loading times, the "Argument" feature and (if I remember correctly) the ability to move around in the batters box.
