This years game is going to be tough until the first roster update
As an A's fan, they currently have 12 or 13 guys on their 40 man roster with no big league experience what so ever. And probably another 7 or 8 guys who were September call ups last year. It will definitely be an unfamiliar experience playing with this team in this game...but I guess with the amount of players they lose, I should be use to this.Tags: None -

man that a crazy turnover in one year...but at least you guys have one of the best, if not the best GM in the league, Billy Bean. BTW, is Oakland considered a small market team, or is the owner just cheap?

AWESOME owner with a great stadium on the way in 2010 pal, dont be ignorant,
As for Trev, just read up on these guys and edit the A's roster, if they seem to be MLB ready give them generous ratings such as low 80's if there built for the future just make sure there future potential is rated high, it wont be that badComment

Definitely small market. Even when they were a consistant AL contender over the past 6 or 7 years, they couldn't fill up 2/3 of their stadium (which is old, ugly and is shared with the Raiders). The new owner Leo Wolffe hasn't be there long enough and showed up after most of the damage was done (Tejada, Giambi). I'm confident once they get their new stadium, they will up their budget, but right now they just can't afford to. Once Wolffe got there, they instantly threw down some money on free agents (good or bad?) in Loaizza, Kendall and Frank Thomas.Comment

Re: This years game is going to be tough until the first roster update
That's one hell of a question.
Catcher: Suzuki
1st: Barton
2nd: Ellis
SS: Crosby
3rd: Chavez
OF??? Travis Buck, Emil Brown, and a bunch of other guys with little or no MLB experience.
DH: Cust
Pitchers (in no order):
Blanton
Dusherer is supposed to challenge for a starting spot
Harden
Gaudin
Needless to say, should be a long and trying year, but you never know they may suprise and finish around .500, though I wouldn't bet on it.
5th-???Could be several guysComment
