    Save help (2K7)

So I decided to do a whole bunch of roster edits today (and I mean four hours worth). This includes trades, signings, physical appearance things, attribute changes, creating guys... all of it. Well, sometime meanwhile, I was automatically disconnected from Xbox Live. Since then, it seems like the game doesn't recognize my hard drive. This has happened before, but I think I've only witnessed it for this game. Basically, if I turn it off, the hard drive will be recognized and everything, but I don't want to do that.

Bottom line, I can't find a way to save my roster file.

Do you guys know of anything that I can do so my file can potentially be recognized? This would have definitely been a waste of four hours if nothing is possible.

    Thanks.

I have no clue but can you send the file to someone else and then have said person send it back to you?

I know it's not much help but i'm trying to be helpful!

See, here's the thing... I can't even access my drive. When I do, it says:

"You have no valid storage devices attached. Please attach a valid storage device and try again."

When I was playing in-game and tried to do option changes, when it tried to auto-save, it would say, "Save Failed!" along with other stuff. Now, my VIP isn't loaded (I signed out, hoping it would reconnect me to Xbox Live or something), and I think that may have attributed to me now not even being able to play a game. I'm trying both Play Now and Exhibition, and it won't let me advance past the team selection screen. It just ehh... kinda pisses me off.

Daoud, it is my roommate's 360, but I have a Live account (Silver... will get Gold when I get a 360). I have that free month service, so I'm trying to take advantage of it as often as possible.

Have you tried removing your HD and putting it back in?

No, not while the power is on.

I think you are SoL my friend! And will have to remember all you moves, and turn it off.

                Sadly!

Maybe you could try putting in a 360 memory card or a hard drive from another system, but I doubt that would work. Also, the file would then be stuck on someone else's 360.

                    Re: Save help (2K7)

Again, the biggest problem is that, while I can load my 360 profile just fine (and I was able to resign into Xbox Live), it still can't recognize the hard drive right now as I have MLB 2K7 just running. I've signed out and such... nothing really helped. I can't even play Exhibition any more because of this. So in this regard, a memory card might not help (but then again it might). Either way, I don't have one, so...

But of course, when I turn of the game (or even just go to the dashboard), all will be fine when I fire up the game again. Unfortunately I'll lose all of my stuff.

I'm just not going to bother keeping note of the stuff that I did. The roster moves were pretty simple (took a while, but I wouldn't mind doing it again). It was the player edits and creations that I am most pissed about. I don't think I have the willpower to redo something like that. It's like typing a post that is essay length that you lose by pressing post and there is a page error and your post is gone. Just no willpower to try and re-post that.

Thanks though, guys. I'll probably leave the system running for like a half hour more before giving up and turning it off if there are any more grand suggestions.

If it's not being recognized and it's not communicating there is no danger in removing it and putting it back in.

Hell, even if the machine explodes, it's not your anyway.

But see, I know that once I reboot the game, it will be working just fine. I will be able to load all of my old roster files and everything. It will be as if nothing ever happened. In that regard, I don't want to damage his hard drive. I don't want to risk it.
