Sleepers in MLB 2K08 (Guesses)

Ok let have fun guys!

Lets have a sleeper gesture!

In 07 some sleepers I found to work real good at least online in my leagues where Adam Eaton, Jeff Weaver, Randy Messenger, Pedro Feliciano and Alfonso Alfonseca.

Batters I saw above the call of duty where Nick Swisher and Jim Thome!

A sleeper is a low rated guy that out plays a high rated player and usually in real life sucks.

I'm guessing on Kevin Correia, Kevin Frandsen, Rajai Davis, Dan Ortmeier, Fred Lewis and possible Nate Schierholtz to have a shot although not all will make the sleepers so I'll say Kevin Correia, Kevin Frandsen and Rajai Davis make the cut.

Now I predict Correia to be a lights out pitcher, Frandsen and Davis more of a contact and fielding sleeper.

If he is anything like he was in 2K7 he will be a sleeper. Stamina would last FOREVER when I played against him with my buddy online!

Joe Biemel, he was a sleeper in 2k7, and I think he'll be good in 2k8 as well.

I can't see how you can say that Thome and Swisher are sleepers. Thome is probably a future hall of famer since he has gotten his numbers during the steriod era and never once has been cited for steriod use and swisher is a solid major leaguer.

Both hit for averages way beyond reality like and Swisher hit with way to much power then in reality!

I don't consider them to suck in real life but they don't hit for average like they do in 07 in real life!

Plus when drafting they aren't the high rated players and they perform better then the high rated players by far!

mussina - they will prob give him a hi 80's rating, he is relly like a mid 70

any pitcher who has the standard fastball/slider/curve/change can be used very capably online no matter how bad. in the right hands of course.

i dont know what kevin millwoods rating is but before the rangers ratings were dropped to all 1 stars in the last roster update and i just couldnt play as them online anymore I would use millwood, and found him to be just as effective as the ace pitchers.

Joba Chamberlain, well he's not really a sleeper but his fastball, slider, 11-5 curve combo is going to be a treat to pitch with

Last year i had Ervin Santana in the draft league i played in and he was rated like 84 or sumthing and he was the best pitcher in the league with a 1.(something) ERA. So i think he will be another sleeper in 2K8

Yep, in my league I owned Paul Byrd and he had an ERA of 0.78 and 380 K's in like 220 innings. Not realistic at all unfortunately.
