I saw it happen the other day when i played. The guy ran into my catcher and the catcher knocked him down and just stared at him. It was cool to see but a little unrealistic.

There is a whole new system in for this this year.

this happens in the game I have seen it a few times....most of the time they get run over and the guy scores and the other guys advance....every now and then I will see them actually knock someone on their ***....its cool. Not all that realistic...but not badly done. and not overdone

Is it like 'the bigs' system? I liked that where you had to repeatedly press A button if you were the catcher or if you were the runner. One who presses faster would get the advantage of either dropping the ball or not. Very cool. It doesn't have to be as dramatic as 'the bigs' either to be effective.

I'd rather have player ratings determine the final outcome. That's what they do in the show, I've collided with pudge 5 times and all 5 times he's knocked me on my a$$ for an out

Funny part is, Pudge is a whole 4'-11'' and much smaller than he was build wise ironically (than a few years ago ... hmmm) so him standing his ground and knocking one down is comical.

They probably do the same in 2K8 where it is based off ratings. It is probably all tied into the new collision system they used for double plays, etc.

More like 5'9, but I catch your drift. He was definitely juicing at one point and came to Tigers camp much smaller one year.

Glad I wasn't the only one that noticed. He was buff for a few years, then within the year after the steroid scandal broke out, and he was much much thinner! Was no where near as jacked as he once was. Looked almost like a little leaguer out there.

but I thought in the show, they run thru each other?

I'm pretty sure The Show 07 had catcher collisions.
