hey guys, i had 2k7 for 360 last year...but i'm getting a ps3 most likely and wanted to hear how 2k7 was last year on ps3. i know it wasnt as good and they are 'supposed' to be equal this year...but wanted to hear some first hand experience with it. how do they use the sixaxis controller with it? just as choppy? is it supposed to be 60fps this year? thanks guys.

i remember Brinkman stating that they had the ps3 running at 60 fps before the 360, from that statement i'm gathering they will be equal this year or likely so close you wouldn't notice. -

2K7 for the PS3...hmmm:
1) There was no self shadowing on the players
2) Noticable slowdown during cutscenes and gameplay
3) the framerate was inconsistent.
4) The sixaxis usage was deccent - you kinda push the controleer forward in a thrusting motion when you swing
Overall - Not a particularly great experience. To their credit - Brinkman is already on record saying their focus this year was to make the PS3 experience equal to the 360 experience. We will see in 3 weeks....Comment

i'm looking into trading the 360 for a ps3...but i'm just hesitant to go through all the hassle of doing that and taking a small hit financially by not getting what i gave in order to get it. the show looks cool, but some new things with 2k8 look awesome too...just not sure what to do...Comment

i just got one (PS3) recently...played 2k7 on 360 last year
initially was shocked at the downgrade in GFX, but after about 6-7 games didn't bother me (but i still notice every time i fire it up)
no other issues when comparing it to 360 version

Both the PS3 & 360 versions of 2K8 should be about the same visually. The only real noticable difference between the two might be slightly different colors. Can't really comment on anything else until someone actually compares the two side by side.Comment

The game was bad on 360 last year and horrible on PS3. I was hoping that 2k7 would be good, but it was a disappointment. I had it on my 360 and I'm still convinced it broke it. I returned the 360 and got a PS3. I just think 2K doesn't care what kind of garbage they put out. This game was so glitchyComment

I play 2K7 on PS3. It was a bit wonky as released but with slider tweaking and the game updates (I'm running 2.1.1) from 2K, it's awesome.
I get a few frame drops and still an occasional stolen homer, but it's the first release on a new platform. I can live with those things as long as this year's fixes that.
It's still think it's the closest game to MVP 05.Comment
