Did they fix the lineup problem?

I haven't played this game since I picked up 2K6 and brought it back within an hour, because it was so horrendous. So, I am curious if they have fixed the double switch and lineup gone haywire problem that has plagued this game since its inception (WSB).

"supposedly" they have, but seeing is believing.. they have had the "lineup issue" in the game the past 3 or more years..

I think it has been in the game the last 6 years. I admit I love the Show, but I am curious to see how this game plays. The innovative stick movements really intrigue me, but I'll probably only rent it. I just love baseball games and am curious to see if this one is fixed this year.

No, that's not accurate. It's completely unclear at this point. Trades and player movement can be shut off for all teams, but it's still unclear if the user can adjust actual CPU batting orders, if the CPU starts shifting players around.

They already discussed in a podcasts that the line-up bug was no more , but if you think it was never really a big deal or a bug, in chise' if a player gets hurt and sent down and they bring up someone worse that had a lead off role in the minors or w.e......... idk all i know is he said it was gone

KushGamer says that the lineup glitch has been looked into and fixed. Brinkman said the same.
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

You will have the option to make trades for CPU-controlled teams in franchise mode, but you won't be able to edit their rotations and lineups.

You know, I went back, looked at my original comments, and saw that I said nothing about the lineups not being fixed. I stated that CPU lineups could not be edited. And the link I provided you with, confirms that.

In other words, your comment to me wasn't just SUPER COOL, it had nothing to do with anything I said. No wonder you don't post much around here -- you're a SUPER COOL DUDE, aren't you?

Thanks I should shutup now I suppose or I'll end up with one as well if it's not to late already.

EDIT: I went back and fixed my posts. Things should be super cool now.

                          LOL..

I put it as "supposedly", because while they say it has been fixed, we were also told we could edit CPU lineups and such (which isn't the case now apparently)..

I just wish this game would come out already so we could see

Re: Did they fix the lineup problem?

Confused, confused. Okey dokey, lessee here............

Okay, prior to the beginning of a franchise game at the lineup screens for both teams.
You won't be able to edit the CPU teams lineup or who is pitching for the day. Correct?

That shouldn't be a problem IF....

You can edit all the roster lineups/pitching staffs during the season (when your not in game day mode). You can do that? Correct?

That would also let the gamer correct any funny lineups if a guy is on the DL and the CPU puts in a lesser player in , let's say the cleanup slot.

I posted this in the demo impressions thread, but it might be cleared up quicker here.

Sounds to me like you can control trades and player movement, but you can't edit CPU lineups/batting orders, period, except in exhibition mode. That's how I intrepret it, anyway.
