I haven't. I would guess it would be readily available at launch,but I usually wouldn't pre-order without playing a demo.

i rember i pre ordered a couple of times in the past and demos cam,e out the day of. exnascar08,tiger 08) and after playing the demo i was like"arghh why did I pre order this, i really hope the retial one is better" and usually "it ain't"

right now I'm in a mess. i only got a 360(see no other game i would want for it this year either0 and wanna get a ps3 now becuase the show seems to have everything i like in any type of sport game(atmosphere,great lighting/colors and gameplay)i also have pre ordered Pro yakuu so i better get that Ps3 soon anyways...JUST wish that the demo was out so that i'd know wheter or not the 360 version will play better than the ps3 one to justify keeping and having two consoles...

I never preorder games that aren't "main stream" type games (meaning all gamers will probably check them out...like a GTA4 type game). there is always the slim chance a store (Toys R Us is notorious for this) will release it before it's street date. I actually got 2K7 before many people on the 2Ksports forums last year because of this. It's a crapshoot really...lol

I pre-ordered last week at Gamestop.

If TRU breaks the street date, I can just refund my 5 bucks.

In New York, baseball games fly off the shelves. Pre-ordering saves me the trouble.

I pre-ordered both games months (2K8/the Show) ago. I'm pretty sure the game will be everywhere on release day. The closest place to my home that sells games happens to be a Gamestop (2 min drive, tops). It's just easier for me to go there instead of the big box stores.

I actually pre-ordered 2K8 on both the PS3 and 360. I was going to wait to see if there was any gameplay differences in each version. Then, when I go pick it up, I'll just transfer the five bucks to the system version I decide to buy.

I preordered about a week ago. There's no real need to preorder anything except NCAA football here in Tennessee, but I was trading in a game and there really was nothing I wanted to spend my money on, so I just had the guy apply the trade in to MLB 2k8.

I put in a $5 reserve for it at Gamestop, along with $5 on The Show for PSP and another $5 for Rainbow 6 Vegas 2. I wanted to reserve Army of Two also, but I need to play the demo first.

Haven't yet and I'm not sure I will. Like someone else said, baseball games fly off the shelves here in the tri-state, especially now with the Mets getting Santana and the new Yankee pitchers in the game this will probably not be available on Tuesday without a reserve around my way.

I'm still playing the hell out of CH2K8 and I'm not sure I want to start my baseball fix in early March, I don't want to be tired of this game before the All-Star break.

Chances are I'll reserve it, play a few exhibition games on Tuesday and then put it on the shelf until Opening Day rosters are done by someone on here.

I used to work in Gamestop (NJ/NY area) and I tell u the games are sold out on day 1. Baseball is big in the northeast because of the large hispanic population. Couple that with the fact that people who like baseball are just going to buy it, just to have it and its a sell out. Now I am speaking from my area....so for me its a mos def reserve.

I haven't pre-ordered this game because i'm fairly confident there'll be quite a few copies on the shelves when it comes out.

I preordered at GameStop about 2 weeks ago. It always surprises me that people are so averse to preordering. I know I'm going to get it, anyhow, and I'm not too worried about the lost interest on $5 for 3 weeks. Even if I decided NOT to get it, though, it's not like I can't get my $5 back. To me, it's worth the peace of mind knowing that there's no chance I'll have to run around next Tuesday looking for it.

Same here. I was trading in two games last night. Actually, there are sometimes extra stuff for pre-ordering outside of the bobble head. I got an extra $10 for pre ordering and with that, my trade payed for everything.

I used to have to pre-order but I found an unknown EB games retailer. There is the one that everyone goes to and everything is always sold out and then there is one like a half a mile away in the back of a shopping center that nobody knows about. I've never seen it until a couple of months ago and I asked the guy and he said they've been around for like 2-3 years. Terrible location, but good for me.
