Facial Expressions
Has anyone played the game Heavenly Sword? That game has incredible facial expressions. Now imagine that in a sports game. All the players in 2k8 seem the have stone cold expressions. When my guy hits a home run I'd like to see some excitement on his face. It would really bring a lot of realism to this game. When you when a game, or your fielder makes a funny blooper and he laughed or smiled a bit, then it would make this game a whole lot more fun.

Re: Facial Expressions
Tooo much programing would need to go into that, and would take up to much time to fix more important things, though NHL 2008 has alright facial expressionsComment

Re: Facial Expressions
It doesn't have to be during game play. It can be during a home run cut scene, or at the end of the game.Comment

Re: Facial Expressions
You gotta remember that the overwhelming majority of the time, players do not make excited or noteable facial expressions (look at most players not named Manny Ramirez who round the bases after a HR... they do it quietly and to themselves).
I think that I'd like to see more "signature" looks.. like for instance, Papelbon staring down into the camera before a big pitch... those are moments that when they happen in real life on TV, they send chills down your spine while watching them. I wouldn't want the game to focus on it too much, because it would take away from the game, but every once in a while, big situation, it shows those sorts of things that we've come to know about star players.Comment

Re: Facial Expressions
I liked how the pitchers mouthed certain things in 2K7, it was fun trying to guess what they were saying. The only one I'm convinced on is, "C'mon baby" when a pitcher is in the stretch."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier
"Beware of geeks bearing formulas." - Warren BuffetComment

Re: Facial Expressions
Player attitudes would be cool. It would really be nothing more then funny though. Although Milton Bradley proved that his temper can actually cause an injury (Kevin Brown too). I think it would be funny if there was an "R" rated version of the game and you heard all the vulgarity that is said from the crowd and the players in the game. It would be pretty much meaningless but like I said funny at the least. Watching Milton Bradley getting ticked off at the crowd or something in a video game would just be outright hilarious.Comment

Re: Facial Expressions
It would be cool if they mad it like NFL 2k5, where you could hear players talking to each other on the side lines. And talking trash on the field.Comment

NOW that is a great idea. make it like your watching the game on tv. from the fans at home perspective. (ie. when a the pitcher is tired, pan over to the pitching coach and have him talking to the manager. or like he said ^ with papelbon. you could do it for hitters too. zoom in on their face and as the crowd gets louder and about 2 seconds before the pitcher is ready, zoom out gradually to the normal camera behind the pitcher as he starts his windup. great idea dude. I wanna hear some more examples other people have. got any? Anyone? anyone? Bueller?Comment
