Look, if you don't like someone's comments ABOUT THE GAME, how about instead of taking a shot at the guy, you stop and breathe, count to 10, punch a pillow, or whatever it takes... and then simply post your comments ABOUT THE GAME.

My biggest problem with this thread is the fact that people are making judgments about a game they havent even played.

The only thing people can't comment on is how the gameplay feels. But everything else seems fair game. It's there in the video for all to see, the good and the bad.

I'm sure this game plays very well (when considering hitting, pitching, fielding, and baserunning). But, I'm not even talking about looks necessarily when I say that this game looks like a mess. It really does, and it makes me say that I will pass this year. I think that next year I will actually grab myself a PS3 baseball title. Until then, I'll just have to hope for the best that my wishes get into these games.

No they dont, many times when a right handed batter K's the Catcher will throw to first to start the ball around the horn when the bases are empty.
I know Ivan Rodriquez does it all the time.

The game sure has changed...for the worst. For many reasons...but that's a whole other discussion.

How are people trashing the graphics/lighting when none of these vids are in HD?

I saw a lot of good things in those vids, I'm very excited for this game.

This game looks incredible. I cant wait. The pitching is going to be so rewarding and feel great I can tell. What I am getting pumped for is the AI logic looks like it is amazing (the papi and manny strikeouts, although i think 2-0 a guy like Papi would not have swung at that pitch lol). Very tremendous improvements by 2K! great job. I'm now even more excited to start my franchise.

The looks are improved IMO. I honestly couldn't even watch 2K7, the player animations were so jumpy and missing so many transitional animations. 2K8 looks much better in that regard, although the animation issues are still there and very noticable at times.

But I have to agree with you in that the rest of what I saw and heard seems a real mess. This video, to me, appears more like year 2 of a 4 year plan to improve the game. Because if next year is supposed to the final Holy Grail year of Brinkman's plan, I personally don't see how they can pull it off by next spring. Too many things look and sound like they still need so much work.

All the complaints you guys are point out, valid though they may be, are things that I would never notice in 162 games, unless of course I was looking for them because I read about them first.

3) The crowd is definitely weird sometimes... Where's the emotion? And when it is there, why doesn't it last more than three seconds?

This has been a problem with 2K's baseball game for a while now.

Yeah its just one of those things that you have to accept about this series for now. This is in no way a game killer for me.

I really dont want to sound like a ***** but it really tweaked how a)Paps was in in the 8th when that would never hapen b) How the game could end on such an amazing play yet the crowd and announcers both dont seem to give a crap

This is suppose to be recreating the World Series, do you really think there is no way the Sox would bring Paps in the 8th with a World Series game on the line???!!! lol
Alot of teams will bring there closers in the 8th inning of a World Series game.
