Wow. That looked really good. That locked my decision on buying the game.

Brinkman totally fits the mold for video game producer haha...

But he is awesome. Not only did he make a great game with MVP 05, he is turning a horrible baseball game into a very very good one. He has true talent.

Re: MLB 2k8 on the Spot

Wow!! Did anyone else notice that the guy pitching had the timing down fairly well as far as the "loading" up of the first ring, but was having some issues with the execution of the pitch and the release? Did you see the variety of locations that those pitches that were missed ended up? Some bounced in front of the plate. Some were way inside, one of the two-seamers totally got away from the catcher and the animation for the block he put on the ball was done very well. I also saw that the game ran a lot smoother and the animations were super clean with the direct feed look we got as opposed to the uploaded and compressed videos that have been a bit choppy to date. The throw from third that got away from the first baseman shows that there are indeed balls that will need to be dug out of the dirt this year, and if you watch the batter on the ball in the dirt that the catcher blocks, there is a nice animation where he is waving the runner back to first because the ball did not get far enough away from the catcher to advance him. The outfielder ran back on that ball towards the wall, and when he stopped to see where the ball was going to land, it was over his head. Understanding he misplayed it, but I definitely saw the ball indicator totally disappear when his back was to the ball. Awesome.

If I were to guess, I would say we were looking at a finished product that Ben brought along to the show. The game sure looked nice in the little bit we got to see, and I am much happier to see the frame run running a lot smoother than we had origianlly been holding our breath about. I saw so much cool stuff in that 2 minutes of gameplay, that I am more excited about Tuesday than I was before I saw the footage.

Honestly, if the demo comes out before hand, that is certainly okay, but I can wait 4 more days for a chance to dive into what I hope to be a nice mid-winter treat.

As a 100 percent TRUE Indians fan...I must say I am VERY impressed with this final build of the game- you can tell it is the final build...the animations are smooth, the player signature styles are spot on, the stances, the actions, everything! The siren will be in there at the Progressive Field- and the drum will be heard in the stands!!!! I don't even care about the demo anymore...4 more days till BAAAAAALLLLLL! The crowd has been FIXED as well..see them all stand on bases loaded? They were into the game a lot! This is truly just from the video - It is looking to seriously take SPORTS GAME OF THE YEAR! Let's just hope it plays like it!

INDIANS WILL OWN ALL YOUR TEAMS THIS YEAR!

No siren this year. He said for 2k9 it would be there.

He actually said he isn't really sure but if it's not there he promises it will be there next year. So there is a small chance that it's in the game!

And yes, the game is looking pretty sweet. Love the catcher animation where he protects the plate from a wild pitch but he looks funny when he is calling for a high ptich, almost like he's half standing. No big deal, I can deal with that if the gameplay is solid.

I don't think the guy pitching realized that it's a break point pitching system. He was aiming his pitch at the catchers target and not taking into account the actual break of the pitch. I think this is why he was throwing so many pitches out of the strike zone.

That's the way I see a lot of real catchers do it.

                  Yep...kinda like this:

I know this is after the pitch, but you can tell that he was standing the whole time. He wouldn't have had time to stand up otherwise.

This is what he tried to show:

                      nvm, he fixed it...

When victor martinez walks up to the mound, he walks into a righties stance but then suddenly he's in a lefty stance. Small glitch

Well he is a switch hitter...doesn't matter the walk up looks good, and you know when he is at bat that he could have just switched him. Regardless, Martinez is the best catcher in baseball..please someone argue with me on that! Every stance is spot on...as well as the manners....4 more days man- 4 more days! Can't wait for the write up today as well from OS...but this interview has me VERY pumped especially with the Tribe in the demo video against Detroit...can't wait to face them 19 times and win all of them!

                          lol..

So will the final version have seats or will fans continue to sit on stairs?

Actually I studied many vids close up and they are sitting on seats they just blend in very well with the stands..but they are there and I guarantee if you pause the game and do a close up oin the stands you will see them.
