Why Can't 2K give us weekly roster updates ?

They have an exclusive with MLB. Sony does not. Yet each week Sony gives updated rosters.
with all the technology I want more then a habdful of roster updates. This would give us a more complete Baseball package.

Thank goodness for the guys here that work on rosters. I can't wait for a full updated minor league set. Once we use those there won't be much use for the official 2k updates except for online play.

Anyone that hasn't yet ,get the Datel Transfer kit (action repay) for the 360. One of the best purchases you can buy if you are into sports games.

He did go on to say that he would like to get them out a little quicker. The one positive I have to give them, and this maybe why they come out a little slower but I don't know, but they do give some of the updates new Signature Styles, which includes batting stances and pitching deliveries. Also, they did add new cyberfaces (ala Daisuke last year initially came with a default face then was changed with a roster update), as well as new pictures. Last year cuz the ended up putting 2K7 out to Asia all Asian players were all fixed to look like their real-life counterpart, which includes Signature Styles and pitching deliveries. Edit - It is called - Datel Transfer Kit (Used to be action replay)

It is the thing you need to transfer game saves (stuff like rosters) from your computer to your Xbox 360. You need a memory card though too. Then you just download the file. Plug your memory card into the action replay plug and plug that into your usb port on your computer. Then open the action replay software and click on the file and hit to transfer it to memory card. All done.. then just stick the memory card in your system and load the roster.

Only problem is that the roster guru's here start their work right when the game comes out. Once 2K releases official updates that include new cyperfaces, audio and sig-styles I want to use those but the roster people here don't want to start their work all over.

I think that Nelson guy's rosters that everyone liked were a great example, they were up to date and had tons of great CAP's, but I wasn't touching it it because it didn't have the real Dice-K and other players officially added by 2K via updates.

Yeah I agree. It would be nice if they waited to start after the first update after the games have started. That should be when those updates are made. I understand them wanting to get started ASAP though..alot of people wait to start their franchise till the roster sets. I just hope prospects develop like they should.

Right, and it's going to be even harder w. all the minor leaguers this year.

I also forgot to mention the uniform fixes w. the 2K updates. It was no fun playing Boston at Yankee Stadium last year w. their away uniforms were wrong and Dice-K was a generic player.

Thats just stupid. I can not believe Microsoft went this route with Xbox 360. To get rosters on PS3 just plug in a USB flash drive in a PC copy them over then plug it to PS3 then done.

Just a question/thought on this thread...

The newest College Hoops game had the 2K Share feature where you could upload rosters, settings, sliders, etc to the online network for other people to download. From all the talk in this thread, is it safe to assume MLB isn't going to have the Share feature?

I know there are going to be people doing roster updates for the 360. What I want to know is if anyone is going to be doing roster updates for the PS3 version and how often?
