your right "think blue" is there. Though they still didn't get the "signature" colour of the walls right.

Wrigley Field is pretty dead on. The picture used to compair it was from before the expansion and stuff so the picture doesn't show how dead on it actually is.

That also made me wonder how old some of these pictures are and if some of the things you guys maybe seeing as flaws are actually the way the stadiums are now. Can't speak for some of the other stadiums, but Wrigley looks far more dead on than it does in the picture comparison.

I finally know what will make the color of this game better.

        videofiles take heed!

turn your temp settings to the cool(est) one
        turn down the tint
and raise the color and brightness

and I think you might have something better than the in game color...

Compared to that picture, which is 4 years old, it is completely down, but compared to now (2008) it is waaaay off! The scoreboard on the Green Monster should extend all the way to the centerfield wall. There are more ads on the Green Monster as well, but I wouldn't necessarily expect those to be there, but "The Show" did keep the Jimmy Fund sign and added the "Red Sox Foundation" sign last year as well as this year. So it seems as though the "Red Sox Foundation" sign could be added by 2K if "The Show" has it. I'm not a fan of "The Show" but they have seemed to come the closest to geting Fenway the most up-to-date. There is a new section of bleachers that were added out in right field just above Peskie's Pole which is called "Conigliaro's Corner", a tribute to Tony Conigliaro, and is not in the game. They redid everything on the first and third base sides. I believe that they just took out those golf trailers up on the roofs of the first and third base sides, they were put in in '99 to add more space for the All-Star Game. There is no milk bottle on the right field light tower. And lastly just about a month ago or so they took out the Coke Bottles from the left field light tower, some other kind of Coke ad is suppose to replace it. I wouldn't expect 2K to get this in as it was so recent. But it was something that changed. Other than that it seems to look alright, lol! It's just that the Fenway that 2K is using is about 4 years old now, it still looks the same as the one used in MVP05. Hopefully next year it'll be due for some major updating.

Here's a picture from the '07 season and is the closest representation to what Fenway looks like, but like I added above there was some work done to the first and third base decks, so that will look different this year ('08). Later

yeah seems like the show at least touches up their stadiums each year while 2k makes due. i def able to look past stadium flaws as long as im not hearing brinkman or 2k claim to have the best and most authentic stadiums yada yada yada. if they have a plan in place to get them up to snuff and admit they could use some tweaking then the heck with it, if it plays a great game im def not worried about the stadiums that much. i just dont want to be blatantly lied to and have to deal with stuff.

Who agrees that Miller Park looks better with the window panels open rather than closed? 2k is the only baseball game I've seen that has the windows closed in Miller Park.

Pop in 2k8 disc when you get it and look above the scoreboard in center...it should say fenway park, but it says 2K sports it ruins the entire field to me just makes it crappy

                  Fenway in Real life

The scoreboard actually says "John Hancock" in real life, not "Fenway Park." John Hancock is a securities or insurance firm, and so they'd have to license it individually... which wouldn't be worth it.

Supposedly, they clos them at nght to prevent distracting the batters. During the day it is natural light, but at night... it can make spotting the ball difficult... apparently.

No, the only time they close the windows is if it's cold outside. If you watch games during the summer, the windows are always open whether it's nightime or not.
