I hate to sum it up this easily

But this game is a letdown. At least for me it is. It just seems like relatively the exact same game as last year except funky new controls, update menu screens and new rosters. I'm thinking its because me and my friends milked the **** out of last years game, that this years would of had to change drastically for it to be good, but I dont think so at the same time. Just all the sounds, commentating and sound effects are the exact same thing that rang in my ears 1000 times last year, so its very annoying/dry now. And it also seems to me as if the player models are much worse this year. They look...grainy..so to speak, and alot of the players faces are off.

Just my thoughts. I will play this game and probably eventually enjoy it, but for the hype I myself and partly the media gave it, it was a let down.

Don't people understand the meaning of "Impressions Thread"?

I Gamefly'd 2K8. I just couldn't see myself dishing out $65 for a game with very little media released, and no demo. It just seemed fishy, like they were hiding something. And from what a lot of people who have the game are saying, they were probably smart to hide it.

It's kind of sad, because I thought 2K7 was decent and a HUGE step in the right direction, but this game has seemed like a step backwards since the first screenshot was released, and nothing since then has made it seem different. This is going to be the first time in years that I haven't bought multiple baseball games.

I completely agree. I had the time of my life with 2k7. Me and my friends used to play that 24/7 during the summer, whether it was tournaments(Mind you I never lost once to any of my friends in probably at least 100 games between all of them ), or fantasy draft dynastys. I was very excited for the new version of my favorite game, and I just was immediately let down by the relatively sameness compared to last years game (gameplay wise). I'm not talking about no new control gimmicks, I'm talking about the game itself, and most of all the sound effects. Thats what got to me the most. Same boring commentary lines, same bat effects, same crowd noises, everything the same thing that I had been hearing for a long time. For a newcomer to the series this would be a GREAT game but for those who have played much of the series, its sameness.

Heres to a revamping in 2k9, or a breath of fresh air and The Show comes to 360.

I'm using behind the batter for pitching and hitting
            Using aerial cam for fielding
            Turn off the ball trail

now just wait for some good sliders & get used to this years game and this game will be excellent...book it
