I'd give it an 85% if it didn't have the frame rate issue since when you play without the HDD or without your VIP the game is very good. With it I'd give it a 78%

Re: Game Informer review - 85%
Since I've been burned in the past though w/ sports games from 2K and EA I refuse to buy them brand new on release day because I'm still not completely happy w/ the end product, but like I said I will play the game (because I have no choice as a sports gamer and 360 owner) and I will accept it for what it is.Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment

Re: Game Informer review - 85%
People are right, IGN does not know sports, just look at their take on Madden, NBA 2k8, and now MLB 2k8. Framerate do stutter sometimes when the ball is hit. But it's no where to the point where it affects my control of the direction of where my fielder is heading to meet the location of where the ball will land. In other words, it's FAR from being a deal breaker. Most of baseball is about pitchers vs batters, and I don't see any framerate issues with that.Comment

Re: Game Informer review - 85%
I don't see how it's even possible to rate 2K8 lower than 2K7..........it feels like a new game to me, plus all of the things they added (Minors, new animations, card feature, and overall much improved gameplay). I don't see how the score becomes lower after doing all of that.........That review is a joke.Comment

Re: Game Informer review - 85%
If you haven't learned how to pitch, you can't rate this game. Meatballs will create the most unrealistic game of baseball on earth. However, the pitching mechanic is actually fairly simple, and since I've learned it to the tee, every game I've played against people who were good with it, has been more like baseball than any previous Kush baseball game released. 2K7 is far worse than this game. I see a lot of people going, "I played 2 hours of it and it just sucks". Well, as I've seen playing against people last night, 2 hours wasn't enough for them to understand the mechanics. Regardless, this is a huge step in a better direction. The game does feel sloppy presentation wise, and cutscenes inbetween batters stall the game a lot, but overall gameplay is much improved IMO.Comment
