Is it just me or is hitting very difficult on All-Star difficulty?

The only thing I changed was difficulty to All-Star. I'm playing with the Yankees. First game against the Mets. Granted Johan Santana was pitching, but all I salvaged was 4 measly hits, 3 singles, 1 home run.

Next game I played Boston, Beckett pitching, had 1 hit (a single) through 4 innings, shut it off. I didn't strike out too much and I use Swing Stick 2.0. Anyone else having issues with hit quality on higher levels?

Yeah, I played as the Bluejays and got 1 hit by the Orioles of all teams. My only hit was a homer. I think it will just take time for me to get use to the hit stick 2.0(I hope). I played a few more games and got better results. I still lost all the games I played so far. I've only played on All-Star. I like the challenge.

I played about 12 or so games yesterday, mainly on Legend, then down to All Star. My problem was that I could make good contact on almost EVERY pitch on Legend and All Star level, yet nothing even remotely resembling a homerun. All my hits were singles and a rare double every now and again.

I went down to Pro, same results. I'm a stickler for the harder levels, so I'll go back to Legend and earn my stripes there, but I can't hit a HR for the life of me on any level.

The sad part of all this is that last year, my biggest complaint was the HR fest in MLB 07. Now, I'm begging to see anything resembling a homer.
