control question (dont have the game)

I have not purchased the game yet, but I am a bit concerned about the new control schemes.

The new pitching sounds really nice but I am not a big fan of the right analog stick. I guess I am old school (still use Legacy mode for Shooters), but it never feels natural to me.

Is there anyway to pitch with the left analog? How about fielding?

I read somewhere else that hitting can be switched to classic mode.

I dont know why everyone hates on the face buttons, they always seemed fine to me.

    Thanks!

I don't think there is an option to use the left thumbstick for Total Control pitching. It's either the right stick or face buttons with classic pitching.

Yeah. You can change hitting/pitching/fielding in any combination back from analogs to buttons, but you can't reassign the sticks. It's an either/or toggle switch in the settings.

The good news is the movements for the pitching aren't difficult. It's something like straight down and straight up for a fastball, the reverse of that for a changeup, etcetera. I think even someone not really familiar with right analog stick can still pick it up pretty easily, and if they can't, you can always switch back to the button system.
