A semi-solution to the score ticker...

This has been one of the most annoying things to me because it makes the frame-rate problem even worse. I found a way to almost fix it completely. You can't make it stop, but you can make it a lot less frequent.

Everyone knows setting it to "off" in the Presentation menu does nothing. Go in to the XBox Live tab on the main screen, and then to the Online Desk tab on the next screen and go down to Online Settings and General Settings in the sub-tab. If you set all of the "Show..." options to Never, it will greatly reduce the frequency of the pop-ups. Unfortunately, it will still show the on-line leaders in Batting Aver., and ERA. But it does this a lot less frequently. I don't know if there is a way to stop this from happening. Apologies if this has already been mentioned somewhere else.

I thought I was seeing things when I have the ticker set to "off" that it still pops up from time to time.. odd....

With the framerate fix and some medicine to break this fever.. I'm actually enjoying it quite a bit. Love the pitching, swing stick 2.0, and throwing marker. Overall gameplay wise, I'm quite happy.

Same brother, I really am enjoying it an awful lot. I just don't understand all the bashing beside the framerate situation, which will be perm. fixed soon.

Wow, I didnt actually know this was an issue for so many people...

The simple fix is to just shut off everything in the Online Desk News page.

There's an option to shut off all the different news feeds for EACH sport like Hockey, Baseball, NBA, College, ect ect

Make sure they're all set to OFF before you go back to your game and also shut off the news ticker in the game....voila

I havent had a news ticker pop up ever again in any of my games

However, I dont know why you have to actually log online to shut this stuff off....the news ticker in the game should be able to shut this off. But at least that fixes the problem

I wouldn't say, "so many people", but it's annoying and I'm glad there's a workaround.

I agree, turning it off in the game should get rid of it, but I guess it's a bug.

I shut it off, and it goes away fine. You need to turn off the challenge update ticker too...

I was getting ready to trade this in for R6 but now Im all over it. Im enjoying the game greatly. I cant wait for this patch (if it happens) to play online. I think people want to complain just to complain. Same goes for Madden when it came out people were bashing the game like crazy. Yes, Madden did have its problems but, I still thought it was a good game. Maybe not a sim game but, it was still good.

2K7 had a score ticker that would show scores for other games played that day . . why would they take that away . . . ?
