    precision pitching

is anybody else using this. i ditched the analog method. i just couldn't put pitches where i wanted. it was a hit and miss. it seemed more about luck than anything else. not everytime i do the movements would the pitch be what it was supposed to be. find using precison the game to be just as fun. i'll still practice the analog, but i find the precision to play a better game.

I have no problem with the analog controls. I love them, think it is the best thing added to a baseball game in years. In my 3rd game on All-Star, I went 8 innings and gave up one run with Scott Kazmir, then with the Tigers went 6 innings with 1 run with Verlander, and pitched 2 scoreless with Willis before giving up 2 in the 9th to win 6-3.

I did try it for a game but went back to anolog cause its more fun for me. In precision I was doing just that, being dead on precise on all my pitches. With anolog it actually is more random where it lands.

I pitch better with the new system, which makes very little sense seeing how, in the end, the pitching system really is the same as last year, in terms of the timing and the release system.

If this game had any documentation...at all.......I think very few people would have trouble with the pitching system.

I think the in game help explains how to do it quite well. It even allows you to practice and gives full feedback on what you're doing, What else do they need? One of us who know how to pitch to go to their house and be their tutor?

Not using the new system takes the fun out it

I use precision pitching myself, just very annoyed this year thay they took out the slider (pitcher interface speed) which would speed up or slow down the yellow cirlce when using this type of pitching.......of all the nonsense sliders they have for this game why take out one that makes sense

There are no pictures in the tutorial on what is what. Just a few poorly constructed words. Do the tutorial and tell me what an effectiveness zone looks like.

Other games tutorials, including 2K's, have had accurate pictures, have let you know what exactly you are doing wrong, videos with controller overlays, etcetera. Having a tutorial is not the same as having a good tutorial.

I have no problem with the new system, but as you can see from all of the forums, many are, simply because they dont know when to do what.

                  Re: precision pitching

I think the whole point of analog pitching is to take away the 100% accuracy most ppl had devolped with the button systems of old. I mean some guys will be good but I don't think anyone will be able to be 100% ontime every pitch with the new method and thats more real than anything. The best pitchers in the world hang a curveball or miss their fastball spot, so now we can feel that pain too.

Yeah,I hear ya bro.I looked all over for that slider.I'm not a big fan of the new pitching system so I wanted to use last years.Right now I don't know which way I going to go because without the slider the precision pitching meter is slooooooooooow.

                      Re: precision pitching

Sorry if this has already been posted, but can you use the precision pitching in league play? I tried earlier today but couldn't find a way to do it .. offline you can, but I couldn't find a way to use it in league play on live. I may have been missing something during the set up.

Any help would be greatly appreciated one way or the other.

                      Thanks for you time,
