Base running question/problem.

I had this problem with last years game as well, but I didn't find a fix for it either.

I notice that when you are running to first to try and beat out a throw, you can tap "A" and it will make you run faster, but it will also automatically make you cut wide right and attempt to run home, causing you to more sideways than straight forward.

I noticed you can adjust base running speed in the sliders section, but I don't know if I want to do that just yet.

Is there any other way/button I can get my players to run faster (and straighter) without having to tap A all of the time?

There is no turbo this year, pressing A does nothing

Maybe it's just me then. It just seems that when you press A you run faster.

I hate to double post, but yes, when you tap A you DO run faster.

Is there any way to turn this style of base running off and actually not have players job to first?

If you hold the base that the runner is going to, they do in fact go faster. If there are multiple runners on though, it may affect the other runners...

By the way, this is pretty nice when you want to bunt for a hit. Just press the 0 (PS3) button and they run hard to first.
