I guess framerate issues are more important....

I haven't had a problem throwing balls, particularly on non FB/Change/2 Seam FBs, especially when I'm trying to get that perfect pitch for the strikeout. I still don't walk that many guys, but I go to 3-2 quite a bit and get burned (maybe there's a lesson in there heh).

I don't get very realistic pitch counts, but I do get fairly realistic innings pitched for my sta, which is a happier medium for me personally.

If you guys have been playing with your VIP profile, you can check your pitching tendency stats to see what you need to improve on. It shows percentages of each "Perfect pitches, Accurate pitches, Meat pitches, Wild pitches , etc" you've thrown. It's pretty cool, check it out if youre a stat-head like myself.

Had a recent breakthrough, now I don't feel completely helpless pitching... still not very good, but at least I know what I'm doing now and should be able to improve on that.

I like that warm-up pitch idea, also.

You're saying that you're walking 1 batter per game...
So that would be 162 walks for the entire season.

That's something like 400 less the average MLB team for a season.

That's 400 less baserunners over the course of a season (or walks that are replaced by hits...either way, this is not realistic).

Yeah I LOVE the new pitching method! I think its the best/most positive change made to a sports game controls out there. That said, this game still has alot of issues but the pitching isn't one of them.

I also said I haven't even TOUCHED the sliders in order to make the pitching meter more difficult for me. Also, keep in mind, that I said UNintentional walks. Against the Brewers in my last game, I intentionally walked Fat Prince twice, and had four total walks on the game.

Plus, I don't know how what your play style is like, but I absolutely HAVE to throw out of the zone sometimes to avoid getting crushed. For example, I'd rather take my chances nibbling at the corners against Pujols and let the rest of the garbage STL lineup try to beat me. If I nip the corner or I just miss and get him to chase something out of the zone, great. If I walk him, that's better than serving up a homer.

                    I understand what you're saying.
But that's exacly what I was saying, I won't walk anyone unless I do it on purpose (intentionnal walk or pitch around the hitter), and that shouldn't be.

I have inadvertently walked a guy a couple of times so far without trying to pitch around him, but you're right. With my slider settings right now, it's not yet happening at a realistic rate.

Ys I have too....but I'm nowehere near 3.3 walks per game.

And I was hoping that changing the "pitch meter" slider would change that, but it does'nt seems to.

I actually agree with bullpen about meatballs.....just because a pitcher misses doesn't mean they automatically throw it over the middle of the plate (although that's sometimes the case) Generally, they end up with a pitch outside and behind in the count.

This was the same issue I had with zone pitching last year. It sucks when you barely miss and your outside pitch suddenly heads straight for the center of the plate.

I will say, I'm definitely at a higher walk rate than I was during MVP (which I loved). I think I only walked 1-2 batters a SEASON in that game.

Out of curiosity, you can't see the CPU's strike zone, can you? I find in this game, I'm not always quite sure whether my catcher is setting up in the zone or just outside it. I would suspect that was probably intentional on 2K's part, since it's caused me to miss the zone a couple of times.

No I don't see the strike zone.
I'll see what it does with the strike zone ON (maybe I'm not aiming at the corners as much as I think).

One thing to consider is bumping the slider for pitching difficulty down (I found between 70-80 works for me). I put it at 100 and made too many mistake pitches, but with it at 70-80 I am never perfect on my timing and miss my spots. I had one game where I walked 4 hitters in 5 innings and 1 was on 4 straight pitches.
