    Reposting from the impressions thread...

Minor league game, default settings, Mississippi Braves vs. Oklahoma Red Hawks. Still trying to get the hang of the pitching, really I'd been slaughtered going into this game.. somehow I held the CPU to one run going into the 9th, but I was still down 1-0. Top 9th, finally got a hold of one to tie it up. Goes to extras, I take a 2-1 lead in the 10th, they tie it up in the bottom half. The curser was jumping all over the place, I thought for sure I was gonna lose it there. I get nothing in the 11th, and work out of another jam in the bottom half. Goes to the 12th, I double leading off. Sacrifice, then a single, and I'm in the lead again 3-2. Bottom 12, leadoff single. Sacrificed to 2nd. Grounder to short, runner holds at 2nd, 2 away. This is it... base-hit to left, I come up gunning. Play at the plate, he's out! Game over, and I finally get my first win. Whew.

I haven't started the Dodgers franchise yet. So no great Dodger games. I play on all-star.

An 18 inning game Mets at home (me) vs the Orioles. Santana went 8.2 and was completely dominant. I got a few runners to third w/ two outs, but I could never bring them home. Top of the 18th inning 1 out and a man on second. I bring in Schoeneweis (I can't remember how to spell it.) and he is a total mess. No composure. The ball marker is all over the place. He gives up a run scoring single. I do nothing in the bottom of the inning...I lose 1-0.

A Ball Game, Vero Beach Devil Rays vs Saint Lucie Mets. Mostly I wanted to see Tradition Field, but a minors game is fun now and then.

I take a 2 - 0 lead into the ninth and bring in my closer. He serves up a fat one, now it's 2 -1. I manage two quick outs and the next batter hits a routine fly to right center. Right fielder settles under it and bam! The center fielder runs into him and the ball gets loose! I don't know who it was, but they give chase and throw the ball back inot the infield. Next batter, the pitcher is listed as 'Tense' and the cursor is ALL over the place. A mound visit raises his composure, but he's still shaking out there. Somehow, I managed to retire the next batter on a grounder to first, game over!

Franchise Game, NY Mets at Atlanta. 10 - 4 drubbing of the Braves, featuring an early Mike Hampton exit (7 runs in three innings). I had a five run second inning that started with quick outs by Delgado and Easley. Castro doubled, Pelfrey walked and Reyes scored Castro on a single. After a Castillo single, bases loaded for Beltran, who promptly hits a bases clearing double. Wright singles him in, and if I wasn't trying for the Wright card, I probably wouldn't have gotten caught stealing second to end the inning with Alou at the plate. Pelfrey being Pelfrey, I did serve up four solo shots, three in one inning.

i had a game in my franchise where i was playing as dodgers taking on the padres. I was using brad penny and the padres had chris young. the game was scoreless the first 7 innings then i hit a sac fly to take the lead. then in the 8th padres get the bases loaded bc i hit a player and walked another. then jim edmonds hits a shot to right and matt kemp robs it. then in the 9th i strike out the side for the win. that whole game was intense.

Well, the least I've given up has been two runs. Most games I keep it at three and then get shelled late. My pitching is getting better with time though

Ok, I'm the second person to post a "greatest game" with the Mississippi Braves. I'm a Cubs fan, but being from Mississippi I decided to play a game with the M-Braves against the Arkansas Travelers (old school rivial from the Old Jackson Mets and Jackson Generals days). Since I'm not starting a dynasty until I get a good roster file, I'm messing around with these minor league fun games.

Anyway, Game started off, Arkansas scored in the first inning, 1-0. From there on it was a pitcher's duel. I'd get runners in scoring position, but couldn't find a way to bring them home. My starter went the distance. In the bottom of the ninth, I was still down 1-0. I got a lead off single. Next batter, another single. Then a double plays, but the runner advance to the third. Final batter and he drives one to deep left field, all the way to the warnning track, but none the less an out.

I lost, but in a great 1-0 game. So far my favorite game I've played.

Mets and Braves. Pedro vs Smoltz. All the makings of a great game. Pedro goes down with a leg cramp (day to day, it lasted two) while pitching to Smoltz the first time through. Smoltz managers to make it 3.1 innings before bruising a toe (I have no idea how, he didn't get hit, and he's on the 15 Day) and the next thing you know, fans are being treated to El Duque vs Tyler Yates! Each team robbed a HR in right.

Had a good collision at second, Reyes got upended and the ball went flying...but not far enough for the runner on third to score.

Somehow I managed to forget what inning it was and I put Billy Wagner in for the eighth...Heilman (barely) managed the save.

Angels (me) vs K.C. in Anaheim. Bottom of the 9th, 1 out, bases empty and the score is tied 1-1. Of all players, M. Napoli hits a walk off homer for the Halos to win it.

Just got finished playing against the D'Backs with the Mets.

Had Johan pitching an absolute MASTERPIECE today. Had 11 K's and a no hitter going into the 9th. Start the inning, and he gives up a blooper during the first at-bat. What was really cool was the response from the crowd/Johan. As soon as it was clear that it was gonna drop, the crowd let out a loud "AWWWW". Camera panned to Johan after the play and he looked absolutely disgusted :lol

We still won 3-0, but that one broke my heart

A's (Me) vs. O's (CPU). Blanton starts, gives up 2 in the 2nd and nothing else in 6 innings of solid ball. Just Duscherer comes in for a scoreless seventh. Bottom of the 7th, 2-0 O's, so far I've been able to get a hit in most innings, but I haven't been able to string a few together. Runners on 1st and 2nd, 2 out, 0-2 count, Bobby Crosby at the plate. I'm gonna swing no matter what so I send the runners. Crosby hits a 2 run double to the left field gap. Tie ballgame. Duscherer pitches a 2nd scoreless inning in the top of the 8th. Embree comes in a retires 2 lefties with weak dribblers in the 9th. Then I bring my closer in, Huston Street. Its the bottom of the 14th now, Street has pitched 4 and a third scoreless, but is likely done for the night as he's losing his command. 2 out again, runners on 1st and 2nd again, Mark Ellis at the plate. I send the runners first pitch, he drills it into the left field gap, Crosby comes around to score, A's win. Huston Street's the player of the game with 4.1 innings of scoreless ball to record the win. Luckily it was an exhibiton game or the A's wouldn't have their closer for a few days. I also got both Blanton and Chavez's cards out of it too. Best game I've ever played on a baseball video game.
