Arguing Calls?
In 2K7, there was a problem arguing calls in GM mode. Just curious if people are noticing the same problems this year. I know you can argue calls on a HBP, but what about just close plays or even called third strikes like you are suppose to be able to? ThanksTags: None -
Re: Arguing Calls?
Yes, I had a bad call at first, and when it happened, Jon Miller said, "hey, it looks like the manager is going to come out and talk about this one". Francona came out and I hit the anger button just to the edge of the red zone, and he did not get tossed. The ump got the call wrong, so maybe it lets you get a bit more heated when you are arguing a call that went against you as opposed to incorrectly arguing the right call. I have only seen it once, but that is just fine. If we saw it too much, it would be unrealistic.

Re: Arguing Calls?
So is there a way to start an argument?
Last night in an online game, I clearly slid into home and missed the plate. My dude crawled to the base while the catcher was turning around, nowhere near the base, and he dives and tags me long after my runner's hand slaps the plate (verified in a replay). My runner gets called out. My buddy is LOLing in the mic the whole time.
Clearly a case of a blown call. Can I argue that BS somehow?Xbone gamertag: horsehockey75Comment

Re: Arguing Calls?
I have seen a few close calls and never seen a manager argue. I almost feel like it's not in the game anymore."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Re: Arguing Calls?
Seen it come close to an arguement once...play wasn't even close but the game was tight (Sox over Yanks 4 - 3 on an eighth inning GS by Manny), Yank on first, one out when a sharp grounder goes to first, Youk steps on the bag and that's it, batter wasn't even on screen.
The game did show the tip on how to play the argument minigame though, after it said that Girardi didn't look happy with the call.Comment

Re: Arguing Calls?
I've seen maybe one or two argued calls by my team so far. None by the other team yet...Comment

Re: Arguing Calls?
The easiest way to see arguments is peg batters. Eventually the other manager will argue that the ump should eject you OR you will be ejected and your manager will argue that you shouldn't have been. It works about 50% of the time after the first couple batters.Comment
