    PS3 Version?

I've read everything I can find and know what most feelings are about the differences in the 2 versions. My question is simply: Is the PS3 version worth it? My 360 will be "dead" for about 3-4 weeks so I was wondering if the PS3 was worth getting.

Well I'm definitely a little biased having traded in all my 360 gear a couple weeks ago for my PS3.

I've played them both and to be honest "The Show" plays a great game of b-ball, and quite smooth to without any modifications except 720p for some.

I have The Show and love it but I love baseball and wanted to give 2K8 a shot. So I was wondering if the PS3 version of 2K8 was "playable" and worth the purchase?

I've not had any framerate issues on my ps3. I've played in stadiums that last year bogged the thing down and made it unplayable. But none of that this year.

The new pitching is fun. I like the game alright so far....but it certainly could use improvements.

Sky, I had both the PS3 and the 360 version. I had to take the PS3 version back because it's only in 720p and not 1080i. For me, the framerate was really bad on the PS3 and not as bad on the 360. I have heard some people say the PS3 is not as bad as I experienced.

I also have the Show, but I really love MLB 2k8. Please keep in mind, I am a baseball junkie, but I love both games. They both really offer different styles, and it's really refreshing to keep hopping back and forth between each one.

Personally I like it. I haven't really experienced all the framerate issues that people are saying. I have played some awesome games so far that were very realistic.

If I were you though, I would rent it first, just because of the many mixed opinions.

PS3 doesn't have custom music. Kind of a big deal to some. I dk how you see it.

Skyboxer....don't do it !!!!...just kidding man!!. I'm renting the 360 version and you probably know, I'm dissapointed. I like that they re-tooled the fielding but they went backwards on the graphics and some other stuff. I'm not having the laggy issues like some are having. The only thing is that it is choppy when changing screens and wipes during game play, 2K7 didn't have this. I even loaded 2K7 to see...Man, you have to compare it to really see the gutting they did to 2K8.

I know for some it is not important because of the new controls but to have it look so good last year with no chops and now for it to look so bad is really puzzling.

My son's friend loved 2K7 on his PS3. He couldn't stop playing it. He even returned his MLB07 if you can believe that! He was happy with only playing exclusively 2K7.

He was so looking forword to 2K8 but he returned it the next day. He was so disgusted with what they did to it. So he had to exchange it for MLB08 for his baseball fix.

I would recommend you(rented) first before blowing $60 bills. To be honest, it's not worth the $60...maybe, and that's a big maybe...$30.00

yeah I saw that. Yet the games are identical according to 2K.What a joke. Trust level went way down with these guys IMO. Anyways I had some credit and went ahead and picked it up. Hey I'll get 2 bobble heads now though.
I still have the 360 version so maybe by the time I get XBOX back it will have a patch. I couldn't help it. It's the only genre I'd ever do this with though.....
