I just discovered How to get more walks

I'm seriously on to something here!

I wanted to test something and it's working!

With my sliders and then I changed Maddux's stats to Walks Allowed to a Total of 10 and then dropped his Accuracy slider 20 - and the very 1st batter was 4 straight balls for a walk!

In the game he pitched against me before test he rarely threw a ball as his walks allowed was real damn high and his accuracy!

Maybe you didn't get walked because Maddux doesn't walk a lot of people in real life?

I think he was just using Maddux as an extreme example to prove a point. That is, if it will work with Greg Maddux, it will work with anyone.

That said, I'm not having a problem getting walks so far (although i'm yet to face an elite pitcher), but base hits; now there's a problem. Those have been hard to come by.

Screw it, I love my sliders so I will tonight go over the roster and edit all pitchers and start a 2 new franchises.

If interest shows I'll share the roster.

Bump up the CPU takes on everything. Ball and Strikes. I played against the Red Sox with Detroit today and here is what I had.

Dontrell 8.3 innings 7 hits 3 runs 8 ks 4 BB 94 pitches 62 strikes 32 balls. Great game imo.

then a put the cpu throws strikes all at 0.
Becketts 7.1 innings 9 hits 5 runs 10 ks 5 BB (Puge had a great 15 pitch at bat which I ended up striking out on) 98 pitches 70 strikes 28 balls.

I ended up lossing 8 - 6 in 10 innings. I thought it was a great game, even though I lost. Very rewarding.

I'm trying to increase user user walks as we have no issues with CPU walks.

I will test it on 2 teams in a series 1st before doing the whole damn roster!

Just had a game against Santana where he threw 70% strikes and I drew a walk. That sounds about right for Santana. It's odd how some people are not seeing the CPU throw many balls and some are seeing a lot. There has to be some X-Factor that isn't being accounted for. With the CPU throw strikes silder turned most of (not quite) all the way down, I have seen strike percentages (for the whole team collectively after the game) raning from 57%-68%. No higher than 68% and no higher than 72 for any individual pitcher that threw more than 15 pitches. I think there might be some setting that is affecting it for those that are seeing high strike percentages. I think that next year, 2K would be well served to put a pitch count slider in there.

Do this to get the A.I to throw more balls...

Choose the Legend setting>>>Then lower the A.I Throw strike overall slider to 0.

I just finished a game where Dontrelle Willis threw 89 pitches in 6 innings(33 balls and 56 strikes). He would of threw more pitches if I would of laid off some bad ones(He struck me out 9 times)I walked only once, but swung at about 3 ball fours.
