    Two odd situations in MLB2K8

Can someone please tell me if I have witnessed a bug or some really crappy visual representation of a baseball situation?

I hit a ball just past second base with a man on third. I advance him and the 2nd baseman grabs the ball and hurls itt othe catcher. I think I am in a pickle as I am 3/4 the way to home
and the catcher has the ball in his mitt. Well I turn and head back to third and the catcher just stands there. No movement, no fake toss, no chase.... nothing.

Couple of games later I get the same thing but with the 3rd base man while I headed back to 2nd.

    Odd?!?!

This game has been reacting very strangely to certain situations. I have not seen this glitch for myself. Maybe they needed some more testing?

Yeah, the same situation has happened to me as well. I've also been caught in a run down between second and third. The CPU just kept throwing it back and forth for 5 minutes without even bothering to run me down the basepath. After some tosses back and forth the second baseman I guess decided to give up as he just did not even try to catch the ball when it was thrown to him. The ball looked like it was lobbed to him and goes right through him and runs into center field. Needless to say, I ended up scoring.

I played over 400 games of MLB 2K5 and saw that happen numerous times. Obviously some coding in the game engine that's still there four years later and which is in need of some serious Roto-Rootering.

I had a play where I hit a double to left, and instead of throwing the ball in, the left fielder ran the ball back to the infield while the runner I had on came around from first to score.

A lot of stuff like this happens. None of it's truly bothersome, but they just speak to how "unfinished" this game is.

I've seen this, plus on bunts down the first base line, the first baseman AND second baseman both run to cover the bag. The pitcher and catcher don't move.

I thought maybe it was programming for a dumb first baseman, so I tried it again againts other teams....bunting with my first three batters.

7/9 times, both first and second run to cover 1st base and the catcher and pitcher almost wait for the ball to stop rolling before they start to run for it. The other two times, the catcher moved first, but the first and second basemen were still moving towards first with the first baseman taking the throw because he was the closest to the bag.
