Freezing Issues??????

God I am done with this game. I am playing probably the most entertaining game I've played so far and the game freezes on me in the 8th inning. I, like most people, was having trouble hitting and I was getting frustrated but it seemed to come together a bit this game. I was taking walks (The Astros staff actually walked me about 5-6 times), getting hits, the score was going back and forth. I'm down 5-3 bottom 7th and I get a 2 run base knock with Pat Burrell to tie it up. I then hit into a double play to end the inning and now I am looking at Lance Berkman standing still with the ball in his hand and it's been frozen for almost 5 minutes now. It's not my XBox because I can still view my gamer profile. Anyone else have issues like this? Sorry if this has been discussed in other posts and I just missed it.

Just try and keep all complaints in the glitches thread. Maybe 2Ksports will sift through it.

I had one freeze up so far, and others have too. You aren't alone. I would be surprised if they didn't get the big patch out by the end of the week. Their reputation is getting thrashed.

Did you clear your cache like others have suggested? I did that this weekend and played a couple of games with no freezing issues. Not enough of a sample to address this problem definitively but it's probably worth a try.

From previous 2K patches, it will be in Microsofts control for at least 2-3 weeks before it is released. That time doesn't even start until the patch is "finished". I'd say a patch by mid April through late May is more likely.

That's funny, Microsoft told me to do that when I called them and complained about Madden freezing up on me...it doesn't work. The XBOX sux, the only game I have that hasn't froze up on me is Viva Pinata...that's cuz I never play it, my kids do (rarely). And I've owned over a dozen 360 games. Since the Madden disaster, I haven't bought another game for my 360, and now that PS3 is catching up, probably never will again.

Had my first and only freeze up with my 360 ever after intentionally walking Jimmy Rollins in the 6th inning. First freeze with 2k8 in about a half dozen games.

I am probably the luckiest person with this game on this entire forum. (Or one of the luckiest). Mine has yet to freeze. I hope I don't jynx myself. (Knock on wood)

Oh, and I do take out the disk everytime I am done playing. That might help.
